Family vacation, or a European tour from a vaper's perspective.

Family holiday, or a European tour from a vaper’s perspective:

After 8 years, it finally happened that my wife and I could organize a normal holiday abroad. We took on nothing less than traveling through the Alps with two children, by train. The area is beautiful so far, but that could go on Telex’s traveling monkey blog, I’m not writing for that, but to present a small European overview, as I decided that everywhere we stay, I will visit at least one vape shop. We spent 2 days in Como, so far this is the most positive thing, from this perspective. I came out with one pod, one replacement coil, two 60ml longfills. I dropped into Smokie’s. They have a very good opinion of the store, and for good reason. I looked around. Lots and lots of familiar longfills. (La Tabaccheria, TNT, just to mention the quality.) The lady is extremely helpful, she speaks English without any issue, even though Italians are known to be lazy when it comes to learning languages. We talked about TPD, tax stamps, K Flavour - it’s explained in another topic - and the Hungarian situation. I wanted a spare Innokin Klypse pod with a coil, in case my Sceptre breaks down despite its $2 price. I showed her the pod, she cleared everything off the table, took out a 5-pack of coils for mine, saying why should I burden myself with costs, I should spend it on the family. Full respect, after this, the shop will get a 5-star rating. The devil got into me a bit, so I grabbed a cola-flavored Elfbar from the shelf, and we said goodbye in good spirits. We were in Switzerland for one day, in Andermatt, it’s a small village, just a tobacconist, full of Elfbar, Vuze, and analog cigarettes. I didn’t buy anything. We arrived in France, in Chamonix. I went into a dedicated vape shop here. The situation here is tragic. An clueless young girl tried to lecture me about TPD and foist a 0mg Flavorart 60ml liquid on me. I said, thanks, show me some longfills instead. She didn’t know what that meant, I had to explain it to her. She said I won’t find that in France because it’s “illégal”. I told her that I have 15 years of experience, I know what is legal and what isn’t, and selling me an aroma in a bottle isn’t illegal, it would have been enough to say you don’t have it. Then I asked, by the way, is the 28,000 puff Elfbar not illegal? It doesn’t fall under the regulation. I said yes, it does, maximum 2ml tank, maximum 20 mg/ml. This is neither 2ml nor 20 mg/ml, but 50mg/ml. She started cackling in French, I told her I don’t understand that anymore, I don’t care, keep it for the local Mbappés. That’s where we are so far, we will be here for 3 days, then 2 days in Milan, I’ve scouted 3 shops there, I hope I can make it to one, then I will supplement this writing with that as well.

Thanks for reading, have a nice evening, and fatty clouds.

P.S.: the garden looks great.

Thank you.. great writing  a little insight into the European vape world. .. Let me add that the French are indeed not into longfills.. there this is completely abnormal, but certainly not illegal.. simply people there are not buying the overpriced longfill… what’s popular there is shortfill, then aroma.. nic salt.. this is also reflected in their web shop offerings.

Wishing you a very good rest

Mr. Tibor, the problem isn’t with whether I use longfills or not, I accept it if you don’t. It’s a bigger problem that he states nonsense. I can see through the BS, but a beginner vaper will latch onto the choice and accept it. And they put such a person behind the counter of a shop in a prime location in a tourist city… God’s zoo is vast, it’s just a shame we didn’t build the fence…

Yesterday we returned from Crete. We spent a week there. I was also in 2 vape shops in Rethymno. One of them had all sorts of things, (kiosk) including vape stuff. But 90% were disposables. Nothing more serious like RTA or mod. In the other one, I bought a longfill. Which they mixed for me on the spot. VG/PG plus 1mg nicotine. Which was 14 euros. But the more serious gear wasn’t great there either. In the hotel where we stayed, there were hardly any vapers. Maybe a few. One guy was using a Voopoo pod. And another a Vaporesso Armor Max / Zeus X combo. I saw Lux R Max in the hands of 2-3 men, and e-liquid as far as the eye could see…

I was alone with a more serious setup. Thelema Solo / Pipeline Arcana 22mm. However, in terms of price, everything is much lower than here (referring to groceries).

Compared to these, in New York, vape shops only had drug paraphernalia

It’s terrible to say, but the grocery store prices (except in Manhattan) are comparable to the prices at the small village shop here…

I didn’t want to bother with packing, bagging, charging batteries, and boxing up on the last night, so I brought out a pod. But the situation is, since Como, I’ve been puffing on the 6000-puff cola-flavored manó, it just feels good right now, I’m not worried about the cotton, the battery, or refilling. Sceptre is resting, with Supra Aldonza in it, I’ll probably only take it out in the evening, I bought a Brewdog Hazy Neipa, that will definitely be good with it. I’m really looking forward to Milan, we’ll arrive tomorrow, there will surely be goodies there. My Revolut euro wallet is already half full…

Safe feature. Although it’s psychological, it only takes 10 seconds to transfer the chips to your account.

Regarding this writing, I was rather thinking that a few years ago I could just walk into the Esmoker showroom on Király Street in Budapest and buy everything I needed in one place. Kind, knowledgeable service, ample selection, foreign specialties, small gifts, tastings, reasonable prices, I could go on…

In my utopian visions, I imagine this kind of vape supply/experience here at home in the future too.

Oh, I bit into the wrong end… but maybe someday, who knows:wink:

I wish you all a pleasant holiday!

We look forward to hearing more.:slightly_smiling_face:

So, dear Vapers!

The shop visit happened. Slightly biased, I must say that Italy will be the holiday destination I recommend. There are about 10 vape shops in Milan, and I think I managed to find one of the best…

I went in, the guy had a wide smile, we discussed with 3 follow-up questions that I came intentionally, and we talked for about half an hour. Meanwhile, customers came and went, I politely stepped aside so he could attend to them. The selection is abundant, longfills, shortfills, mini shot mixes (10 ml aroma, 10 ml nic boost), aromas. There’s no complaint about quality either, La Tabaccheria, Vaporifico, Don Cristo, TNT… and many more, including one important one further down in the picture) But the prices are there too. I bought a 60ml longfill for 19 EUR, it felt like pulling teeth, but hey, I’m on holiday, so let it be said, I’m giving it a wide berth…

The guy is knowledgeable, patient, knows the stock by heart, you just have to ask, no wonder he has 5 stars on Google. When I told him about my experiences in different countries, including Como, he was amazed that there are still normal shops like this around… When I also mentioned that I was writing an article about it for Hungary’s best vaper community, he even threw in a small gift, which would have been 8 EUR, even though I told him I would have written a positive review without it anyway… So, maximum respect. Tomorrow, if I manage to get somewhere else, I’ll write, but for now, this was the best choice.

And here’s the picture of the unmentioned brand longfill, the gift, and the excessive sugar, my older son will surely break his milky drink-filled teeth on it tomorrow, but that’s a small price to pay…

Wow, there was only one piece of it in the display case, but luckily, with the help of my kind and highly knowledgeable expert self (), it ended up in the basket in the end…

It also says something that the guy’s favorite is East Granate, which I also love. Unfortunately, that wasn’t there, but I told him that if this one also smells like stinky shoes, then success is guaranteed…

We were screaming… :rofl::rofl::rofl:

I liked that too

When you get home, message me, we have something to sort out :grinning_face:

Hi!

You’ll definitely like the Persian! Based on your writings, I tried the East Granate and it even surpassed the peach. I think it’s even better and has a pleasant scent. Min. 3 weeks…

It’s a twist of fate that I can only mix it up on Saturday evening when I get home. But I did smell it, it’s not as stinky as Granate, I hope it will be good…

Maybe next year you can take a portable, battery-powered mixer with you . I’m working on it, the X20 Parkside battery powers everything.
