New inquirer's question regarding tobacco shop quality.

Hello!

I am a student studying in Eger, who has started to become interested in vapes and e-cigarettes again after heated tobacco products (iQos/Glo/Ploom). First of all. Is the quality of the liquids and vapes sold in tobacco shops still as poor as it was when I was in high school? (That was around 2018). Also, does anyone know which tobacco shop in Eger sells vape stuff? Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi,

Glad you are interested in vape gear again, but most likely nobody here will recommend the items from the tobacco shop precisely because of the mentioned poor quality and the prices that don’t reflect it at all.

I suggest reading this thread to start:

Hi!

Welcome back to the healthier world. As written before me, read the article about the current situation, this is the most important thing. You will get the picture. Then I suggest you write down exactly what you want. (What kind of liquid—flavor, strength, what device, what your vaping habits were back then, how many heated tobacco products you smoke, so we also get the picture of where to start.) Then also what your existing equipment is, whether the device needs upgrading, etc.

After these things, we will be able to help you get started again.

Don’t overwhelm the young Padawan… Everything slowly, step by step. There will be time to tally it all up in the end…

And even so, the monthly budget will be cheaper than in the heating era…

None of my old vapes remain; I stopped because, as a naive beginner, I first bought a used Geekvape from an acquaintance, and it died after about a month. After that, I got a mech mod, but I couldn’t do much with that either, so I finished with it. Currently, I would like a simple device; I saw ones where you don’t have to wick or deal with the coil, but you can just replace the atomizer head. Maybe the GTX ones seemed like that to me; I don’t know if I understand how they work correctly. In the past, I specifically made the liquids with low nicotine (3 mg) or nicotine-free. On average, about one pack is used per week from the heated tobacco use. Regarding my old habits, I can say that I preferred DL tanks and used liquids mixed more for cloud chasers. I hope I could help!

Alright, let’s check it out:

Device: I can recommend 2 types, the first is the Lost Vape Ursa Nano Pro 2 kit, this is a pod with a built-in 1000 mAh battery. It is compatible with two types of pods (2.5 ml), designed for simple, everyday use. Two of my colleagues use a similar one. The other is the Vaporesso Luxe XR Max 2 kit, this has a 3200 mAh battery, it has separate MTL and DTL pods, plus you can change the coil inside it.

Both will satisfy your needs and are perfect for starting out. Sourcemore is your friend, one is 18, the other 27 bucks, plus the pod/coil. Whichever you choose, I suggest putting replacement pods straight into the cart, because it certainly doesn’t take two days for them to arrive from China. Min: 5-6 extra pods.

Ingredients:

You can buy the PG and VG at Floravit, that will make a simple base liquid.

Aroma: Flavorhook, they have tobacco, fruit, and dessert flavors. A decent shop, good for starting out. (RY4-tobacco, Ice Bear - fruit menthol are my two personal favorites.) They have quite clean aromas here (except for a couple of tobacco ones), which can last a pod head for a month easily.

The liquid gold: there’s no way around it here, either find a tobacconist that has booster and stock up, or head to Párkány, or Komárnó. It’s not worth messing around with ordering, because if the relevant authorities happen to look into the package en route, then oh dear. This step can be skipped if you want to mix nicotine-free.

If you have all the ingredients, then use the mixer on this site.

I hope I could help, if you have questions, you can find me here.

Good luck restarting, fatty clouds.

I suppose the devices are not usually seized anywhere. Or how banned is that now? Are they treated like Elfbar, Poco by the authorities? Also, if I were to order the aroma from flavorhook, wouldn’t it be worth buying the PG/VG from them too, since they sell it on their site?

Hi!
Here, on the Vaperina site, no one has yet reported that their device was taken away or confiscated. This is not a rip-off, so just order the one you selected without hesitation.
Regarding the PG and VG sold on the Flavorhook site, the only difference from Floravita is that it costs more; otherwise, the quality is the same.
If you don’t want to order from multiple places initially, then what’s available on Flavorhook will be fine too.
Later, if you manage to get used to vaping, you will look for opportunities regarding what is worth ordering from where anyway.

I agree with everything, I would just reinforce the device recommendation in favor of the Lux R… The 2.5ml liquid capacity of the nano pro, from which only about 1.5 milliliters can be drawn out, drove me crazy as a DL user.

This was the Ursa factor, my Tibor. I thought of everything. Everything, too. Simple sales psychology: if you place one product in front of someone, they will think about whether to buy it. If you place two, they will think about which one. But indeed, the Luxe is a better alternative.

Hello! I don’t know if it has been mentioned, but there is a minimal stock of vapes at the tobacco shop next to Füzesabony train station.
