Hi everyone ![]()
I promised in the other announcement that we would try to summarize the situation a bit. It’s important to state upfront: this topic isn’t about offering everything on a silver platter. Rather, we want to convey a conscious mindset, so that if you’re looking for something, you know where it’s worth starting.
First, it’s important to clarify a few things that are good to know. Please, first and foremost, read this article: The Great Hungarian E-cigarette Situation from 2012 to the Present
If you are still a beginner, or have just stumbled into the topic, it might seem strange that more experienced users don’t answer directly publicly, for example, about where to order liquid from.
This is not directed against you, but rather protects the long-term interests of the Community. Some shops, if they receive too much attention, may cease shipping to Hungary, even if they sell non-excise taxable products. Unfortunately, this has happened more than once.
Also, if you are looking for a source for nicotine products, we reject and do not display it on the site because Hungarian laws prohibit the public display of nicotine sourcing, and Vaperina strives to comply with all relevant regulations.
The best answer you can get in such cases is actually the biggest help:
“Search for it (on Google), or ask ChatGPT.”
This is good because it does not endanger the future, in any way.
If you have bought ready-made liquid so far…
…then now is the time to change that and start mixing your own!
- You can find plenty of help in the discussions on the site. If you have a question, feel free to create a new topic!
- More experienced members will gladly help, as always.
- You can also ask Gilbert.
- You can use our VapeDIY application, which helps you easily calculate mixing ratios (i.e., “how much of what”).
This way, you’ll manage much easier, and the procurement of ingredients for base liquid is currently not legally restricted in Hungary, but nicotine can only be legally purchased in National Tobacco Shops.
Besides, mixing is simple, there’s no reason to worry. ![]()
Hungary
Base Liquid
Propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG) are the two main components of base liquid. Important: only when mixed together do they qualify as base liquid, so they can be legally purchased individually without any issues in Hungary.
Aroma, Shake and Vape, other supplies
- Aroma49.hu
- Solubaroma.hu
- Flavorhook.eu
- Aromapalota.hu - they also have a physical store in Budapest. Since these are flavorings, the solvent in which the aroma is dissolved is an important factor. Therefore, ask for advice before you buy!
- Adok-Veszek > Aromák - it’s worth checking the ads sometimes.
(By the way: you can also do it without aroma…)
Nicotine Booster
Nicotine is an excise-taxable product, therefore it can only be legally purchased in National Tobacco Shops. According to EU TPD regulations, only 10 ml containers with a maximum strength of 20 mg/ml are available.
Ready-made Nicotine-Free Liquid
Can only be purchased in National Tobacco Shops.
You can find the selection of these shops here: Mikrofiber.hu
Neighboring Countries
If you live near the border, you can easily pop over to Slovakia, for example, where you can get what you need.
Important: anything you bring in from abroad must be for personal use only and must be a legal ingredient in Hungary as well.
Use a search engine, for example:
“city name + vape shop”
Example: Párkány vape shop search
At Your Own Risk
Vaperina does not encourage or promote legally questionable procurement methods. The goal is solely to support independent, conscious decision-making.
Numerous webshops (French, Greek, Spanish, Italian, etc.) are available that ship within the EU.
Use a search engine or ask an AI, for example ChatGPT.
Enter, for example, into the Google search engine:
“country name + vape webshop”
If you find something and are unsure if it’s reliable:
- Search for it on Vaperina, perhaps someone has already written about it.
- Check Google reviews.
- Ask the AI to look into it.
Check the AkciĂłk category too!
For such orders, all responsibility lies with the buyer. Authorities may confiscate the package or impose a fine, although this is rare, it’s better to be aware of it.
Stay Informed
This is perhaps one of the most important things: watch for changes!
Follow legal and community developments at home and in the EU.
If you are aware of the situation, you won’t be surprised!
If you get stuck anywhere, don’t be afraid to ask!
The
Community is here to help.
And don’t forget: the more you learn, the easier you’ll navigate the world of vaping too!
