A stronger smelling liquid could be a solution 
.. it’s the only thing that worked for me.
@Zoli76 swears by hypo, although I think he only soaks RTAs very lightly with it.. but the truth is, plastic is plastic, if it has absorbed the smell, I haven’t managed to deodorize it yet.. only mask it with the smell of another Liquid.
