Voopoo Drag s3 error

Hi everyone. About 2 weeks ago I bought a Drag S3 device. I’m returning it today, that’s not even a question. I have to replace the coil every 2 weeks and 2 days. Something is not okay with the device. Question.. IF I get my money back, what can I use with peace of mind (MTL and DL), what is good, and I don’t have to fuss with it? I had Eleaf before (1 iStick TC 40w and 1 iStick Pico, but all support for them stopped (in Hungarian shops), so I thought, like many others, GO Slovakia and let it be an innovation. So I need a workhorse, where I just change the coil and USE IT. Thanks

Your problem has many components, IMO.
What’s the liquid’s VG/PG ratio, is it fruity, tobacco (extract-based, e.g.), dessert?
How much do you vape daily, at what wattage do you use it, etc.
It could easily be a coil manufacturing defect too.

Subzero mango lol 50/50 and the other aramax also 50/50. About 4 ml in the tank.. but after that the SMART function (0.6ohm) simply sees it as 1.0 ohm after turning it on and it’s already burning it. The 0.8 one also ends up like this. So I can vape about 4 milliliters with 1 coil. I wait 10-15 seconds between 2 puffs. On a new coil I drip on it, wait 30 minutes then turn it on. I don’t understand.

In your place, I would ditch the SMART function and set it myself.
Starting from the atomizer’s lower limit (watt), I would go up watt by watt.
Until the flavor/vapor ratio is good.
I don’t have such a ‘device’, only memories of atomizers from many years ago come flooding back.

Had this too :slightly_smiling_face:. It was good until I turned it off. Afterwards, it acted up again, limited itself.. wouldn’t let me adjust the wattage up or down.. and it immediately reported 1 ohm.. this is when it starts, even though there are like 3 puffs left, it starts coloring the otherwise clear liquid. Then comes the burnt taste.. and the ‘throw-it-to-the-ground’ effect. I tried EVERYTHING. I watched videos. It thinks for a moment and goes crazy. From then on, both the liquid and the coil are toast/ruined.

There are Smart, RBA, and Eco functions. Within these, you can vape freely. After changing the coil, Smart mode appears automatically. It shows what it thinks would be good, and naturally, it recognizes the coil (ohms - I cannot change this). After that, I choose another function. Then it resets to Smart on its own and burns almost everything. This is why I’m in this wonderful state after a harsh hit: the device is faulty, not the 3x3 coil with different ohms.

I just found this:

Thanks.. I can figure out about 95% of this. Their “lifespan” is about 4 milliliters. According to the original packaging and the official website (mixed based on these, iced mango not overly sweetened), one coil should handle 100ml (+/-). This is why the manufacturer recommends the smart mode. Because it corrects if you use too many W. I’ll take the device back tomorrow. We’ll find out. But I’m grateful. Could you recommend something? Anything, just not this xrt

Oxva VPrime which I use sometimes, it’s lightweight and fits in a pocket, a pair of cartridges costs 8-10 euros.

Vaporesso Luxe XR Max, my wife uses it, coils are almost pocket change, five for a few euros.
