Hi everyone. I’m having trouble with my Fat Rabbit tank. I’ve already cleaned it and used a new coil, but nothing helps. Suddenly, while in use, my SMOK Rigel mod displays a ‘High Ohm’ error, and since I also tried it on another device, a Vaporesso Luxe 2, it shows a ‘High Ohm’ error on that one too. What should I do? It’s not my first time doing this, but I’ve never had a problem like this before.

My suggestions:
- disassemble it again, check the screw connections, tighten them if necessary, etc.
- at the same time, check the plastic components at the bottom and top, just in case one of them has shifted

I’ve already gone through those, and there are no plastic parts on the Fat Rabbit tank. It’s a shame I can’t upload a picture of it here… or can I? Am I just still too stupid for this…?
I think there are a few, though.
The PEEK insulator can also slip out of place at the 510 connection.
Or a tiny piece of metal got stuck somewhere inside.
I would take it completely apart as much as possible and start the build from scratch. That is, if you have the time for it!
Yes, thank you, that is the part where I can at most tinker with the coil (wire), I don’t have a problem with that. However, I don’t know if the whole thing can be disassembled. I don’t even know where it should be. The airflow slot at the bottom doesn’t let me unscrew it any further. I don’t dare to touch the screw in the middle at the bottom either, it wouldn’t even budge.
Well yes, I can only clean the bottom part with an air gun, after putting it in alcohol to clean it…

Before ultrasonic cleaners, this is how just about everyone did it.
I can’t even budge this, and I’m 36; I’ve already ripped a few screws out of all sorts of materials, but this one has stumped me. You’re saying hot water might help with this?!
If your RTA type is like the one in the picture, then the screw can be removed.
I would first try the cooling technique.
But before that, I would rebuild it, just in case a different type of wire is needed.
(I assume you don’t have just one type of wire?!)

I think I managed to solve it. Now, instead of 4-5 ohms, it reads 0.34 and it heats up. I boiled a little bit of distilled water, dropped it in, let it boil for about 5 minutes, took it out, let it cool down, and then dried it with hot air (a hairdryer), and now it works. Likely, the hot water got into places I can’t see and cleaned it out.
