I can consider myself lucky in this area because for the first time around 2004-05, at a Dutch techno afterparty, besides the “cigarette,” a steaming rod was also passed around, which I assumed was a psychoactive substance unknown to me, so I took a puff, but to my surprise, I found that it was just like a cigarette. Afterwards, I inquired, and then at the buffet next to the tent, they introduced me to the big brother of this, which was a desktop unit with a divine caramel tobacco flavor, which might have been the predecessor to RY4. I really enjoyed it!

On the sidelines of the austerity measures!
Despite the fact that they almost made it impossible for us vapers, I now truly feel that my horizons have broadened, and I managed to discover and acquire primarily Western European premium flavors, other ingredients, and tools unknown to me until now! I could even say the government actually did us a favor, as by leaving the big brands known until now behind, it pushed me towards a new Vape World. The Hungarian is resourceful, as we always find the loophole in every situation!
I owe the expansion of my horizons mainly to the humane, cohesive community that formed on the Vaperina site, and last but not least, to the site’s Operators! I thank you for this!

But don’t worry, our community is precisely here to help you find loopholes and solutions! All is not lost, you just need to switch to a slightly different purchasing method.
Here are the most important pieces of information to help you get started:
1. Sourcing Base Ingredients (PG/VG and Flavors)
If you’ve been mixing your own e-liquids, the good news is that Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG), as well as flavorings, are still legal to purchase because these substances are not only used for vaping.
PG/VG (Base liquids):
It’s best to look for these in high-purity, pharmaceutical grade, which many people use:
- Floravita – Here you can find both pharmaceutical-grade PG and VG.
- Additional sources: Aroma49, Flavorhook.
Flavorings and Shake and Vape concentrates:
You can also get these from several online shops that specialize in flavorings:

2. Nicotine and Ready-Made Liquids
Nicotine base liquids (boosters) and nicotine-free, ready-made liquids can only be purchased exclusively at National Tobacco Shops in Hungary. Online ordering for these is not possible.
3. Foreign Online Shops and Travel
Many people choose to order from foreign online shops or travel to a neighboring country (e.g., Slovakia) and buy their supplies there for personal use. The latter is currently one of the safest and most legal ways to obtain missing products.
Important warning for foreign orders!
If you do decide to order from a foreign online shop to Hungary, you must know that this is at your own risk. Hungarian authorities may confiscate the package and impose a fine as well, since the online sale of these products is prohibited. Be careful!

It is worth knowing that in Slovak shops, the price of 30 ml Vampire flavorings ranges between 18–21 euros, and the 100 ml base liquids cost approximately 33 euros (Párkány).

Not for goods, but rather just for punishment + treatment costs… in my opinion. May they rot. If any tax official reads this, I want to tell them to spend on medicine the value they steal from those who intend to protect their health!
