Visual editor (beta)

Hi everyone :waving_hand:

Until now, we exclusively used a Markdown based editor for writing posts, which in most cases is perfect for writing simple texts and basic formatting, even for people who aren’t tech-savvy. Of course, you can do anything with it, but it requires some learning, and perhaps the biggest problem is that there’s no immediate visual feedback on how the entered text will actually look.

This is what the preview page in the editor is for, where you can check the result of the formatting. However, over the past few years, we’ve experienced its drawbacks many times. We often had to fix Markdown code for broken images afterwards, where even a random deletion of a character or its placement on a new line could break the visual element after publishing.

The editor has been renewed! :rocket:

Vaperina’s editor has been renewed and expanded with a visual (WYSIWYG – What You See Is What You Get) editor, so from now on, what you see is what you get!

Important: this is not a replacement, but an expansion – anyone who wishes can continue to use the well-tried Markdown editor.

Switching between editors

Switching between editors is super easy. You can switch between the two modes using the toggle in the toolbar.

Short demo

We hope that the new visual editor will help simplify text formatting and provide a much better user experience for less technically inclined users as well.

The editor is currently in beta and under active development. Thus, changes are expected in the future, and errors may occur. Thank you for your feedback! :hugs:
