Hi everyone! Is the Vaporesso GTX GO 80 inherently such a problematic leaky thing, or am I just bad at using it? I’ve been using/trying to use it since Wednesday, but I really don’t like its seal. It leaks from the top sometimes, sometimes from the air “channel”, but this morning I don’t even know from where, the whole liquid leaked out of it. Even at first glance, the filling port is designed quite poorly, because it can easily leak from there, as well as from the small air vent hole at the top. Rubber plug solutions seem better. Another thing is that it often spits/coughs, even though I think I’m not drawing incorrectly. It’s important that I’ve only used disposables until now, so I’m quite new to this. 50/50 tax-stamped liquid, with a 1.2 MESH atomizer. I also have a 0.8 atomizer, but if I switch to it, I guess one of them will be useless anyway because I don’t think it can be stored for later use. Right now, completely by chance, it hasn’t been leaking anywhere for a few hours The problem is that I don’t really dare to put it in my pocket like this, because it would probably just cause trouble…
So the question is, can this still become a usable item, or should I look for something else? And if there’s something else, where should I get it from?
Since I don’t know the device, I quickly scrolled through two videos about it, and I can guess two things:
It might happen at the membrane filling port that if you push the liquid in too quickly, the air cannot escape, and unintentionally you push the liquid into the chamber = leaking. In the same spot, if the membrane gets damaged and opens, it lets air in from above, and the liquid will naturally find the shortest path, which in this case is the venting opening = leaking. (If the electronics also get wet from it, then it’s certain that you need a new set, but let’s not jump that far ahead.)
The other issue might be the 50/50 liquid. The 0.8 PG can generate heat, the metal body retains it, and the liquid literally turns into thin liquid. Use liquid with 60/40 or 70/30 VG surplus.
What I can suggest: try to dose the liquid by having the tank upside down. If it’s full, get a paper tissue ready, optionally Silvia, wipe the bottom thoroughly, then screw it into a lance shape, and insert the mouthpiece from above as far as you can, it will touch the chamber, and it will suck out the excess liquid. Use it, check if it leaks, if yes, we’ll look for a better set.
If you don’t want to bother with it, then Google is your friend, Ursa Nano S, or Pro. It’s a cheap item, ultra compact, and doesn’t leak. (4 colleagues in the office like this sentence of mine…)
Currently, the atomizer is 1.2 [ohms], but I’m using it anyway, perhaps I’ll somehow get used to it. Meanwhile, a Heisenberg mix is steeping, although I mixed that one 50/50 with 14% at 4mg nicotine. However, after about 24 hours, I couldn’t resist and tried it, and either it still needs time, or the 4mg is simply too much, because the throat hit turned out a bit strong this way. Now that you recommend 70/30, and the 4mg nicotine is probably too much, am I correct in thinking that by calculating the VG amount correctly, I can achieve the ratio, and the nicotine strength will also decrease somewhat?
Slightly different topic: Can the fact that it turns upside down in my pocket, or is almost upside down when sitting in the car, cause problems?

You’re right about the VG, yes, but don’t forget to add flavor afterwards.
Filling: the filling port is on the top, right? The mouthpiece should be downwards, so the liquid flows upwards into it, not gushing downwards. It’s a bit trickier to stuff it in, but a syringe-needle combo can help. If the membrane isn’t damaged, it doesn’t matter how the tank is oriented while vaping, the vacuum will hold the liquid in. Problems only arise if it opens up and lets air in, or if the cheap Chinese manufacturing made it faulty.
