I don’t think a retail qualification is insufficient for someone to work in this kind of business. Furthermore, if they are also aware of what they are selling, then that’s a huge advantage.

In Hungary, you don’t need a commercial qualification to open a business, and a cashier doesn’t need any paperwork to start working.

Perhaps it’s not that simple after all 
that nothing is needed… they asked for it in an advertisement for a tobacco shop, plus some sort of gambling/lottery paper, I saw it the other day.

If I were to open a shop, I would put the main emphasis on flavor testing… let’s say, for 1-2 thousand, customers could sample everything, with that amount credited towards their purchase if they buy something. Of course, everyone would get one drip tip to use with the filled tanks.

This is a much-needed addition, yes… like a perfume shop, but here for example, from a clean (sterilized) drip tip tray or with a paper drip tip.

Yes, as long as their colleague has a commercial qualification.
However, in one-person shops where there is only one salesperson or cashier, the specialized qualification is required.

Interestingly: in a maintenance crew, if there is a qualified electrician, then everyone else can also perform installations… this is currently the case. (With 2-3 shifts, this is funny because the colleague only works their own shift).
