Vaperina Petition - For the science-based reform of e-cigarette regulation!

Maybe it was good for you in the past and you miss it, but it wasn’t good for the majority (as the vote shows). But you are also Hungarian and a vaper, so we are counting on your signature too, because we belong together, whether you like it or not.

It remains to be seen if my writing will stick around.
Someone once said: We are many, but still not enough.

This is still the case.

If we don’t start it, it’s 100% certain that nothing will come of it.
I wish everyone would think a little, not just ahead, but generally too.

And then you have to explain to the vapers why they are signing it. Fuck, I’m tired.

Believe me, me too… perhaps that’s why I comment less often here too… but I still try

I don’t want to go back to two weeks ago, but you could see: the majority rules :right_facing_fist::left_facing_fist:

It’s wild  I can barely stop myself from writing something bad, but then I’ll help: today’s young people won’t engage with the vape petition because thousands of disposables can be bought on every corner, which is enough for them. they won’t really understand what you’re getting at, because frankly, you can only not buy these disposables locally if you don’t want to. they don’t care about the difference, because they won’t be splashing with liquid or fiddling with wire and cotton.
although I don’t know who Elfbar annoyed back in the day to get such a big ban put on everything, I don’t think it’s impossible that this will be addressed domestically. maybe not in the first year, but definitely over time. it’s quite a shame as a Hungarian that one has to go over to the SLOVAKS and ROMANIANS for something… quite a few of their grandparents and great-grandparents are spinning in their graves, that’s for sure.

Well, since you were so kind as to refrain, I’ll help too… In this country, those in power have always stuffed their own pockets and the globalists’ pockets… this won’t change now. The outgoing ‘Döbrögi’ took pandering to the tobacco industry to its peak… but the current ones won’t be any different, quite the opposite.

This whole vape story was never about health or common sense for them… they hindered vaping roughly at the same pace it spread… I’ve watched it all from the beginning.

Perhaps a few thousand buy from abroad and 10-20 thousand buy disposables from the domestic shadow economy, but by making it impossible, demonizing it, and criminalizing it, they are still keeping a multi-million dollar cash cow in the tobacco industry’s pen, condemning them to a quicker death.

And one more thing, this country has long been some kind of colony… and it will remain so for the next 4 years. Colonies are doomed to be plundered.

Thank you for starting the petition. Of course, I signed it too. I hope we will be as many as possible and it will be successful.

Hi Zsolt!

I don’t really want to get into the politics of it; everyone can think what they want.
Our task is to convince those around us that the electronic cigarettes we use are less harmful to health than analog ones. If we succeed, we can even involve them in signing the petition.
Because, you see, the government communication so far has been that this is just as harmful.
This is still the public perception in Hungary.
My argument, or rather the question, is very simple. Why can’t what operates legally within normal parameters in neighboring countries, or almost anywhere in Europe, function here at home?
After this, if they reject our petition for any reason despite thousands of signatures, then we will have a clearer view of the new government’s attitude.

Additionally, a part of the disinformation (unfortunately successful) is the publication of some medical-type articles and opinions, which has contributed to people lumping them all together. (Also, the genuinely questionable composition and quality of the cheaper disposable pre-filled plastic devices).

The goal would also be not to lump these together.

Politics doesn’t even need to be brought into it, although there are examples!! E.g.: Many told a movement that we agree with you, but we won’t vote for you because you are too few!!! In any case, if I have my thing (for me, that’s vaping), I can be a member of a good little forum, community for several years! When our founders, admins, without sparing their work and time, start something good, try to do something for it to make vaper life better. They create a petition and then an older forum member doesn’t sign it first, but writes that they will sign it if they see more serious support, I would be ashamed!!! Roughly, in my opinion, the country is, was, like this because of such an attitude!!

The state of vaping is linked to politics!..whether you like it or not, it cannot be treated separately. Allow me my different opinion too…just as recently I also had to swallow most of it. There will be no positive change as long as you have replaced shit with crap…understand this. Everyone here whines for years (rightfully) about how bad the vaping situation is, and when there’s a sliver of a chance to change it, the people fall for even more globalist hate-mongering. Then we expect miracles in the vaping field?

Should I also write that you should be ashamed of yourself because of this?! I won’t, I’ll just say remember my words even years from now.

And this means that you do nothing for the vape community you belong to because other people run our country. Nice thoughts.

If you read what I wrote, you can see that if that’s the case, of course I’ll sign it… but I cannot be at the forefront of something whose change I currently don’t believe in.

I’ve read it. However, I’m interested, are there any vape restrictions in America? Could you tell me a bit about it and what the shops are like?

My comment is waiting for approval - am I the only one getting censored, or is Vaperina acting up?

Hi!

Indeed, there exists positive and negative colonization.

The Compromise of Ferenc Deák with the Habsburgs, I think our country didn’t fare too badly because of it. Mega investments, construction of buildings and infrastructure, among others, for example, who owns the Turai Castle now, God knows, some Tiborcz…?

In a way that many find incomprehensible, our leaders, who are lamented by many, have introduced a uniquely new concept into our country: internal colonization…

Due to the size of our country, it cannot be a military or economic superpower.

And now I quote the great ones, because they used to think like this… The grey matter residing in Hungarian people (they have left their homeland), the country’s natural treasures like thermal, drinking, and medicinal waters, the possibilities in tourism (which has become a very narrowly focused, one-way path)

Europe’s largest natural gas storage facilities filled with gas purchased at a price kept secret for decades. Then, by inventing an unfulfillable limit, subsequently exploiting the country’s citizens, they make it purchasable at a price above world market levels, increased by the costs of storage fees, indicating social sensitivity and goodness…

After all this, the question arises: whose colonization should we fear?

My opinion on this too is that a few positive-looking changes have finally started, into which the clarification of vape’s situation and status could fit - we need to involve addressing the new health leadership, and then maybe… I’ve been seeing everything here for a few years now, except for any positive change to (myself, my social status, my environment, my family, and my circle of acquaintances). I repeat, me. No change affects everyone equally. And I might be wrong, yes. But if we could finally achieve a change in the perception and categorization of our “hobby”, separating it from the topic of millions of peddled cigarettes - I see some chance of this in the near future. But for this, the right person/people need to be addressed somehow. Or it will remain a more expensive niche hobby, with misguided perception from society (because they thoroughly hammered into everyone’s heads here too that VAPE is baaaad, with triple the vehemence, like in surrounding/non-surrounding countries. Brainwashing is a rotten thing regardless of the political system, I was shocked to realize it still works).

There are shops (not just online), but the selection is almost zero compared to better EU shops. Weed has been legalized in NYC, so many there have switched to it instead of vaping. Heated tobacco has also become widespread alongside this. Anyone I see vaping is almost always smoking disposables, but mostly I smell weed everywhere.

However, no one has ever spoken to me or looked at me disapprovingly because of vaping… not even at a bus stop.
