Perhaps I’m a bit pessimistic, and I’m quite sure of it, but even then it’s not guaranteed.

I don’t understand this, I would sign it even if I didn’t vape. And I thought that we were finally changing and that Hungarians would stick together… At times like this, I feel like crying…
I don’t think you necessarily have to be an e-cigarette user to agree with our petition. ![]()
You are right, but if we don’t try to draw attention to ourselves, then even less so.
In my opinion, there’s a difference between a group and a community. Every group is part of the community!
It’s because they are morons, armchair generals who think it should be good for me, and they don’t give a damn about the rest. As if no one else lived on the planet besides them!!! This also shows who it’s important to, or that the current young generation just doesn’t give a shit about it. And yes, I am angry at them!!!
Is there a specific limit that needs to be reached for them to even look at it?
I agree with this, I would just add that it wasn’t a young person who wrote to me saying that the order is still coming through… If it’s good for them, then there’s no need to think about other people. ![]()
I’m sorry, but it’s not like that
I’ve written about it many times, some people see visiting certain sites as a hope for big money, in fact, there are such people here too, they are only interested in sales, money, nothing else! I won’t name names because I’m not that much of a …ci, but you all know, you see it ![]()
I hope less is needed now than before.
This is also true…
Legally, there isn’t a specific threshold that, upon reaching, makes it mandatory to address a petition.
In practice, however, the number of signatures carries weight:
- With a few hundred signatures, they can easily dismiss it, saying it’s an issue for a narrower community.
- With a few thousand signatures, it’s already apparent that there’s a measurable circle of affected parties that a decision-maker should at least examine.
- And with tens of thousands of signatures, it’s hard to ignore because it becomes visible at a political and even media level.
Unfortunately, I was still vaping back then!! ![]()
Some things still come through. When they don’t come through much anymore, there will be proper whining about it…![]()
Forward thinking hasn’t exactly been a strong suit for a significant portion of people so far, they only wake up when they are neck-deep in chocolate sauce![]()
Since it’s about young people… maybe attention should be drawn to this ON TikTok too… with these ‘root 2 IQ’ pundits… they recently mobilized huge crowds.
It might be a bad move, but it worked out for quite a lot (2/3) of people who voted for it, myself included, who proudly stands by it, just like I signed the petition because I live here in Hungary ![]()
But believe me, I have common sense too ![]()
Unfortunately, I don’t have an iota of faith in the petition’s success (you know why), but regardless, I will sign it as soon as I see more substantial support for it… so it won’t be my fault.
Sorry for writing this, but IMHO this is not the right attitude!! Especially not as a member of a vape community!! We should be among the first!!
This is all that’s left of me now… and I’m sorry too, believe me.
I understand what you’re saying, and by the way, many people are probably like this (though I hope not that much) ![]()
However, this is a classic Catch-22. If everyone waits for the support to be visible, then it will never develop properly.
Every such initiative starts with the first few hundred / thousand people. They are the ones who kick it off. After that, it starts to become visible.
So, really, every single signature counts at the beginning too, because it provides the boost that others will notice later.
That’s exactly why it would be great if you and anyone else who might be hesitating were among the first, because your signature is also needed for the next person to see a larger number and join more confidently. ![]()
Unfortunately, the brainwashing has worked stronger here too, I have to say… if 8 out of 10 people still make comments like ‘we read that this is even more harmful…’, then something has gone wrong. It doesn’t matter if it’s a relative or some random stranger in my workplace’s yard. ![]()
