I also experienced some disappointment this weekend. I debated whether to write about it, but what the heck…
So, to help the petition succeed, I went as far as to approach a random, unknown vaper. It seemed like a good idea.
The story is about me traveling on a rural bus in Székesfehérvár (!), and at one stop, I saw a vaper get on, who had a more serious device in his hand. And since he sat right next to me on the bus, I seized the opportunity and approached him. I struck up a conversation with him, started telling him about Vaperina and the petition. Unfortunately, he was not receptive at all. He said he goes to Slovakia for supplies. When I told him how good it would be if we didn’t have to, he said he was fine with it this way, it’s a nice trip. Then he turned his head away, indicating that the conversation was over from his side, and sat away from me.
(Mentally, I gave him two slaps for his indifference, and I also gave myself two for my naivety.)
It was a learning experience…
But the point is, we don’t give up. I’ll get up, dust myself off, and move on.
Many people have already signed who are either casual vapers or just signed out of solidarity. So I’m spreading the word, let’s go!
Just like with me last time, the courier colleague.
I ask: Does he know the Vaperina site, possibly (hypothetically) is he a member, etc. (he had a “big” DL setup)
He’s not interested in anyone or anything, as long as he gets his monthly pay.
He only puffs/knows Heisenberg. Whatever ml per month.
I paid for my vape package and closed his car door!
I mentioned the forum to anyone in the “factory”, most of them are sucking on big neon-colored plastic 100-in-1 type assault weapons, and they weren’t really excited about developing in this or discussing it. A couple of old acquaintances might have registered, but they are probably “silent members” or don’t even log in much.
Why are you surprised… when the country is full of those who don’t care what (or who), as long as it’s not what it used to be. Unfortunately, we represent a minority, and because of that, indifference is a greatly amplified disadvantage.
I am building a platform that perhaps fills a global gap, helping readers face reality instead of misconceptions and misleading articles in the media.
Fact-checker: Drop in the article, and the algorithm compares it with the latest professionally peer-reviewed research, and shows where the journalist twisted the facts.
Hi everyone! I don’t usually comment on topics like this, nor do I confront any vaper. But I don’t think anyone seriously thought anything would change in the Hungarian vape situation simply because there was a change of government. The current government will have many more important things to deal with. Secondly, in my opinion, even if it’s legalized, I don’t think anyone would give up ordering from abroad, considering the kinds of flavors most people vape. I’m almost sure it will be much more expensive to buy it locally than to order it. For example, nicotine is available here too, but everyone orders it because it’s cheaper. I still hope a little that the situation will improve someday, but unfortunately, it won’t be anytime soon. Happy vaping to everyone. P.S. I also signed the petition. And I hope nobody takes this as an attack but accepts it as an opinion, just as I accept others’ opinions.
I don’t even understand this now. With my writing about thoughts running on two planes, I precisely wanted to convey that as an EU member, free trade is granted. If there are countries where the online trade of Vape products is not banned, why are we biting our nails waiting for our package to arrive? In our country, it’s not banned, they just told us from where and what… We are the country of the chips tax. Oil is harmful, salt content, either reduce it, or pay its tax and the poisoning can continue, revenue comes in “money-money-little money”…
Thank you to Vaperbook for drawing attention to the petition in their latest newsletter and directing their subscribers there, and thank you to the Vape Trolls Youtube channel for the video about the petition!
An idea… I think the text on the petition form should be changed.
Someone who does not smoke or vape, but supports our cause, cannot tick that they are an adult “consumer”… right?!
It would be better if the word “consumer” was omitted… it’s enough that they are over 18.
People who are not nicotine dependent, but would support our cause, shouldn’t have to tick something untrue. For example, because they are a passive smoker, etc.
My wife never smoked, I quit smoking in the spring of 2014, much to her great joy as well. She immediately replied that of course she would help if she could fill it out. I also sent it to my daughter, who vapes. Hope dies last.
