I guess there are people who don’t confirm their email!! Like, about 30 minutes ago I sent one to a girl I know, she wrote that it’s done, but her name isn’t here, so she definitely didn’t confirm it!! I’ve already left her a message!!

Today’s Goal: 1k, and within 2 days, 2k! 
Yesterday 1000, and today 2x1000 notification emails were sent out. Tomorrow we will continue with another 2000 batch and maintain this pace.
Many people will probably need a few days to check their emails, so we hope the numbers will jump even higher. Currently, we are at 930. Let’s keep the pace, the first milestone can be reached today! 
Every day we send a reminder to those who haven’t verified their signatures yet, and we are happy to see that this number has also drastically decreased!

The two categories are completely different. For a webshop (especially an international one), purchase intent and promotions drive the numbers. For a community initiative, however, conscious commitment is what matters, which is always a more challenging path. Many are skeptical or simply passive if there’s no immediate benefit.
We send a direct request to the community members. This is also why we send it on a schedule (in two installments daily), so that email systems don’t treat it as advertising, but rather it reaches everyone as a genuine, important message.

I’ve been trying to get past it for days, but I keep stumbling over it. It bothers me at least as much as Austin Powers is bothered by the ‘thing’. Should I say it or not? I struggled against it, but still…
Obviously, it’s not intentional, but the post has a very unfortunate message, especially after the change of government, where they are already dealing with the Kubatov list (Kubatov lista), but we optimistically await a new list and foresee the sanctioning of those who don’t show up.
It won’t be easy to shed the ingrained dogmas…
