Basically, I was thinking of the train of thought regarding human manifestation (it won’t succeed anyway, what’s the point, they’ll make this impossible too, etc.). There are many pessimistic people, and I deliberately didn’t use this word.
I didn’t come to stir up debate, and I hope it won’t be, just like it wasn’t back then (those who remember know).

Behind the scenes, we are continuously working to make Vaperina content available to as many people as possible, and now we have taken a big step towards this: automatic AI translation has launched! 
Initially, the AI only translates to English and Hungarian, and for now, it is processing posts from the last ~60 days.
This is because the full translation of nearly 400,000 posts, even using the cheapest LLM (large language model) currently available that correctly recognizes the language and provides higher quality translation, would represent a huge cost for us.
So far, more than 10,000 posts have received AI translation, and this number is constantly growing! 
This also includes the immediate translation of new posts.

In the future, if our budget allows, we will extend the translation to older posts and gradually to more languages.
Automatic LocationTo ensure everyone can encounter Vaperina in their own language, the site now automatically detects the visitor’s location and adjusts the interface accordingly.
The content language will change if a translation is available in that language.
Simple Language SelectorA language selection option is now available in the header.
Only languages for which a translation is actually available (e.g., posts, topics, etc.) will appear here.
This allows you to easily switch to your desired language.
Manual TranslationThe manual translator is accessible via the globe icon found next to individual posts.
This allows you to immediately request a translation for a specific post if it is missing.
You can see which languages it has been translated into, edit the translation if you find an error, or even add a new one.
This is currently available to everyone, but in the future, we may link it to certain trust levels.
Toggling Translation On and OffThe content translation can be turned off or on using the button on the timeline.

Selecting Content LanguageWhen writing a post, you can now specify the original language of the content.
This helps the AI know more accurately which language it needs to translate from.
Viewing Original LanguageIf a post has already been translated, you can now easily see which language the translation originated from.
Country SelectorMany of you have already set it, but soon we will make specifying the country in your profile mandatory for everyone.
This helps in filtering topics by country, and it will also appear on posts, making the site more transparent.

I managed to omit SEO (Search Engine Optimization) from the list of known errors and shortcomings. This is still incomplete…
However, the set country does not affect how the page appears in Google search. The country selector is merely a visual tool for filtering content within the site; search engines and bots do not detect this.
Every translated topic will automatically include links pointing to the translations, so search engines (such as Google) can index these as well. This means that the set country will not be a priority, because all content will be available in all available languages, and Google will map and display these translations too.
