Suicide Mods Stubby 21700 AIO

Let’s start from the beginning… I have two vape loves, one is the Aio, which for me is the perfect meeting of functionality and compactness. A pocket-friendly yet customizable device that forms a family and provides compatibility among manufacturers. The other love is the eternal marriage of RDA and Squonk, made in heaven. A heavenly combination of flavor and vapor. I thought the Stubby 21 Aio was the devilish meeting of these two loves at first sight.

The compactness and design of an Aio combined with an RDTA boasting a generous 8.5 ml capacity and a 21700 battery… Hmmm, I immediately knew this could be the thing that satisfies all my desires. I knew for sure we’d have something to do with each other one day. Unfortunately, acquiring it isn’t easy, as it’s not sold in every webshop and it hasn’t just come onto the market.
Based on the principle that what’s delayed isn’t necessarily dead, I finally found one in a Greek webshop… And here begins the “professional” :joy: part of the review.

The webshop where I found it

Currently, a few pieces are still available on the page in red at a discounted price

For shipping, DHL and UPS are selectable. Since my relationship with UPS isn’t too bright, it was obvious that DHL would deliver it to me… I received the precious item in 4 days… More than satisfactory.
Shipping cost 13 euros

Unboxing:

The mod and the tank arrive in separate boxes.

The mod box contains only the mod + the drip tip + the insert for standard Boro tanks + the usual paperwork.

The Tank box is more than adequately equipped.

• 2 x air pins
• Spare rubber parts everywhere
• Tools and spare screws
• 2 x spare wicks
• Spare rubber bung for the filling port cap

I would mention here that an MTL kit is available for the tank, which theoretically allows for beautifully restricting the vapor and achieving a tight, fine MTL.

Let’s look at the exterior. A completely clean box shape, the manufacturer didn’t overcomplicate it, but I think its beauty lies precisely in that. Excellent material usage… full metal body… which is also not a fingerprint magnet at all. 3 magnetic side panels… battery, display, tank…

I must say, its size surprised me completely. It’s absolutely small… low profile, perhaps a bit stubby, but it fits perfectly in the palm of your hand… I’m trying to illustrate its size compared to other Aios in the pictures. …

The battery is secured by a screw, which I think protects the battery wraps better. Of course, I also bought matching battery wraps :face_with_peeking_eye::rofl:

The drip tip is egg-shaped… I think it’s too short, but of course, that’s subjective.

The box contains an adapter that makes the device compatible with all existing Boro tanks. A flawless solution

Let’s build it… after all, that’s what matters :joy:

Building it is just as simple as with all other Boro devices, though disassembling the tank to clean it properly requires both an Allen key and a flathead screwdriver.

Since this is still an RDTA, I offered it with a solid DL coil.. 3 mm inner diameter, 6 wraps… All the information I had about the coil was what I could see on the glass..

It’s likely, by the way, that the Alien coil with 2.5 inner diameter will be the winner in this one too… as always … but I can absolutely imagine an RDL build which, with this tank, will easily last the whole day..

Wicking doesn’t need to be overcomplicated either..

One of the advantages of Boro, I think, is that wicking is as simple and quick as pie… Cut a bit at the edge of the tank, thin it out a bit, and stuff it into the wick channels on top of the coils.. I managed to over-wick it and got a decent dry hit. So it’s better to wick loosely, and it’s worth moving the coils around so they don’t get too tight. Add liquid… fill the tank and here comes what we’ve been waiting for..

Uhhh, well, it didn’t disappoint.. An RDA experience in an AIO body, exactly as I imagined, or maybe even better.. It won me over.. Characterful crackling, juicy, delicious vapor.
I feel that popping in my mouth like with an RDA

Con -
I had to think about this part… for now, I can’t fault it.. Maybe the drip tip.. it’s low profile and could be better in material, because unfortunately it heats up easily…

I hope I managed to convey how satisfied I am with the product, and I hope it also comes across that I fell in love with it immediately
I can absolutely recommend it to anyone.

Finally, this is my first longer post and review… so there are probably formal and spelling errors, for which I apologize to everyone..

Wishing you continued delicious vapor  and perseverance with vaping… Never again analog

I’ve had it in my hands for 2 days straight… I didn’t feel like the juice was running out from the wicks… IMO the 4-strand wire is doing its job nicely… Wet which needs to be wet

Congratulations, welcome to the world of Stubby!
I love it, it will be a timeless piece, for sure. At first I was a bit afraid of it, from MTL with 12w to RDA with 20w, but it’s as simple as pie. I also talked with @tibor_balogh :joy: I got infected with the Stubby virus.

You can be sure of it.
Now one pulse v3 and the mini RDA will be put away. They will be resting in storage for a while.

In the end, everyone will convert to AIO anyway :smiling_face_with_horns: … it just takes some people a bit longer  though now that By-Ka has also moved in this direction… :slightly_smiling_face:

This is good too. :hugs:
I’m curious about the pulse mini aio too.

This year I dropped an AIO onto stone twice…it survived…the same thing with a boxmod + more expensive tank, it would almost certainly have been an expensive story
