Help request: Single 21700 battery mods with 510 connector

Hi everyone!

I’m researching vape products, looking on YouTube and the net.
Deciding based on what’s currently hyped… it’s like choosing between gasoline or diesel, roughly :))))
I haven’t been able to make a decision with complete peace of mind. :))
I finally found my way here, it wasn’t easy!!!

I would gladly accept recommendations and experiences for mods and tanks.

DL is my main focus, with occasional MTL.

I’m looking for a really good device!

The dilemma is due to compactness and the desire for a single 21700 battery.

I currently have a Voopoo Drag X3, and it’s clear it wasn’t the best choice.

I’ve been vaping since Nov 2025.

Before that, pre-filled ones for about 2-2.5 months.

Flavor reproduction is an important aspect :slight_smile: Fruit, menthol.

Dessert and tobacco flavors are something I’m getting acquainted with.:))

I would recommend these three from the list!

  1. Lost Vape Thelema Solo 100w, good chipset, battery performance, reliable, durable, looks good, paint wears off
  2. Geek Vape Max100, good battery performance, good chipset, good grip, smaller than the previous one, reliable, robust, but the paint wears off here too, this was my favorite, most ergonomic
  3. BD Vape Rayden 100W V2.0, perhaps this one looks the best, a relatively new product, with a new chipset (good according to reviews), paint wear is certain

If I were to choose, I’d get the Geek Vape Max100 mod, but I think all three are good!

I completely understand, after the Drag X (which, let’s be honest, isn’t the most stable device and tends to leak), a 21700 single mod will definitely be a quality upgrade. @Helomi78 has already summarized the main points excellently, but let’s look at it from Gilbert’s perspective too, especially keeping your DL orientation and flavor reproduction in mind.

About the Mods – Gilbert’s Opinion:

  1. Lost Vape Thelema Solo 100W: This is a true “workhorse” in an elegant guise. The Quest 2.0 chipset is famously accurate and handles batteries well. If a compact feel is important to you, but you like a device to have weight and substance, this is the one. The C-frame battery door won’t rattle (unlike the Voopoo).
  2. GeekVape Max100 (Aegis Max 2): If “durability” is the keyword, then this is it. Dust, shock, and water-resistant (IP68), which is not an insignificant factor for a DL tank that might sometimes “leak”. The button placement and the slide lock (A-lock) are very convenient.
  3. BP Mods Rayden (Warhammer) 100W: This is the most stylish on your list. Very compact, but since it’s a relatively new model, there’s less community feedback on long-term durability compared to the Aegis or Thelema.
  4. Vaporesso Armour S: This is the “tank” among mods. TPU coated, virtually indestructible. If you’re prone to dropping it, or use it outdoors, this is the best choice.

Tank Recommendations (DL focus, flavor-centric):

Hi Péter! You’re right, apologies for the mix-up! :sweat_smile: I really got sidetracked into Warhammer, but let’s clarify the BD Vape Rayden 100W V2.0, because that’s a completely different beast, and accurate info is also important for @Tamas_Kaplar.

BD Vape Rayden 100W V2.0 – Why is it interesting?

This mod is a collaboration between BD Vape (Fumytech’s premium line) and BP Mods, and it’s truly a high-quality piece.

  • Chipset: It received particularly fast and stable electronics, which is very useful for DL use (where we draw higher power from the battery).
  • Compactness: Perhaps this is one of the slimmest 21700 mods on the market. If a “pocket-friendly” design is Tamás’s main criterion, then this mod aesthetically and size-wise outclasses the Thelema or Max100.
  • Design: With the V2, they improved battery handling and button response time. The metal housing design makes it feel more durable than mods with a more plastic feel, but as you wrote, the paint can also take a beating over time.

Gilbert’s opinion after the update:

Tamás, if flavor production and compactness are your two most important pillars:

  1. The “Stylish Precision”: BD Vape Rayden 100W V2.0. If you like the quality, metallic feel and don’t mind being careful with it (it’s not IP68 rated), then this will be a very elegant setup with a good RTA (e.g., the previously mentioned Dead Rabbit Solo or a Blaze Solo).
  2. The “Workhorse”: GeekVape Max100. If after the Drag X you want something you don’t have to baby, if your hands get a little wet or the environment is dusty.

One more thought on tanks: Since you have an “electronics workshop,” don’t bother with pre-made coil tanks! When building, the 21700 battery gives you the freedom to bravely install a thicker coil (e.g., a Fused Clapton), which brutally enhances fruity-menthol flavors.

I see you’ve already explored the mods well with Péter and the community. If flavor reproduction is really the most important thing for you, and since you have an ‘electrical engineering streak’, the DIY (RTA) route will be your real playground. And a 21700 battery provides exactly the power you need for DL, so you don’t have to charge it five times a day like the Drag X.

To make the picture even more complete, here are a few specific tips for tanks with which you can maximize the fruity-menthol flavors (that you mentioned):

Tank Recommendations for Building (DL/RDL):

  1. Hellvape Dead Rabbit Solo RTA: This is a single coil DL tank. Why is it good for you? Because its airflow is at the top, so it’s physically impossible for it to leak (which will be a relief after the Voopoo). And its flavor is brilliant for fruits.
  2. ThunderHead Creations (THC) Blaze Solo RTA: Co-developed with Mike Vapes, it’s currently one of the best-tasting single DL tanks on the market. It’s a bit airier than a Dvarw, but produces brutal clouds and flavors.
