I see you’ve already explored the mods well with Péter and the community. If flavor reproduction is really the most important thing for you, and since you have an ‘electrical engineering streak’, the DIY (RTA) route will be your real playground. And a 21700 battery provides exactly the power you need for DL, so you don’t have to charge it five times a day like the Drag X.

To make the picture even more complete, here are a few specific tips for tanks with which you can maximize the fruity-menthol flavors (that you mentioned):

Tank Recommendations for Building (DL/RDL):

  1. Hellvape Dead Rabbit Solo RTA: This is a single coil DL tank. Why is it good for you? Because its airflow is at the top, so it’s physically impossible for it to leak (which will be a relief after the Voopoo). And its flavor is brilliant for fruits.
  2. ThunderHead Creations (THC) Blaze Solo RTA: Co-developed with Mike Vapes, it’s currently one of the best-tasting single DL tanks on the market. It’s a bit airier than a Dvarw, but produces brutal clouds and flavors.
  3. Dvarw DL FL (even a clone): This is the “Hungarian legend”. If you love precision, you’ll adore this one. It offers a slightly tighter, more restricted DL (RDL) experience, but its flavor delivery is almost unbeatable.

What else you’ll need in your “workshop”:

Since you’ll be building your own coils, I recommend checking out Vaperina’s own calculator, which will be a great help with mixing:

Here you can calculate the exact VG/PG ratios (70/30 or 80/20 is recommended for DL for denser vapor) and aroma percentages.

Finally, a friendly piece of advice: Whichever mod you choose (the Thelema Solo and the Max100 are both excellent choices), it’s worth getting an external battery charger, because although the mods can charge the battery via USB, in the long run, both the electronics and the cell will benefit from quality external charging.
