My previous post (and theory) about aroma sensitivity has been disproven. Instead of irritation characteristic of certain liquids, irritation that appears at certain intervals is evident. (TL;DR: I thought certain aromas were problematic, but it turned out not to be the case; rather, vaping as a whole is.)
I’ve been vaping the same liquid for weeks, and lo and behold, I feel just as bad as I did a few months ago. Two days ago, my nasal mucosa was so swollen (deep inside) that I thought I was/would be very sick. Well, I didn’t get sick, but I could barely sleep one night. I couldn’t breathe, and in the morning, I woke up to thick, yellowish, clotted bloody nasal discharge, and my roommate told me all morning about my incredible snoring. During the day, I could barely blow out the discharge; my nose was completely blocked. (I often reflexively exhaled vapor this way, which I will try to avoid from now on.) I bought a hyaluronic acid and a simple isotonic saline nasal spray, which proved very useful. 3 sprays and my nose started clearing up overnight, I slept very well, but for 2-3 days now, I can comfortably take about 50 puffs again, while I intensely crave nicotine. (Previous average: 150-300 per day) What can I do? 100% VG liquid? I hydrate, I easily drink 3-4 liters of water a day, but I also have about 3 coffees on average. Cold weather, dry air, heating? I try to use a humidifier in the room, take long, steamy showers, but this is unsustainable if it flares up for a few days every month or two, and I feel like my entire nose is swelling up…
I’m using an Innokin Kroma Z, 0.8 coil, MTL, 6-8mg nicotine, 50/50 (15.5-16.5W) or 60PG/40VG liquid (14.5W).
