@Zsolt68 back then there were 2 and 2.5 Ohm atomizers too. But nowadays there are still wires from which you can easily get above 2 Ohms. 
Although nowadays the world has changed so much that the 2 Ohm limit is enough.
@Lawicska I didn’t even know that, but it’s not impossible that this is the reason.
