Hello everyone. I have an issue where my Ammit works perfectly for a couple of days, and then it constantly leaks the juice. This happens even though it has been rebuilt and rewicked. The seals have also been replaced everywhere. Thank you very much in advance for any replies ![]()
After 8-12 ml, the cotton collapses for me too, and then sputtering occurs. Next time, at most, include a picture of how you wick it. Does the end properly fill the cotton channels?
(By the way, mine never leaks, even though it’s not liquid-controlled…. I wrap my own coils to 2.5. And it gets gunked up after 12 ml, so then it needs rewicking
)
It wicks properly everywhere. My friend mentioned that they also have to change the cotton after just a few days. They suspect the base/device we bought together recently. They didn’t have this issue before. I will re-wick it today, and if this problem occurs next time, I will post a picture of it. Thank you for the help ![]()
If the base is the issue, then that would be visible in its overly thin consistency…a 70pg30vg has a very different consistency than, for example, a 70pg30vg, which could cause leaking after the cotton collapses.
You know I run it at 80-85% pg
but maybe I’m lucky![]()
As one vaper says in the videos on YT, put in auxiliary cotton. This involves placing a little bit of what you cut off underneath the ends of the wick. Just lay that cotton down flat at the bottom of the wick channel. This way, the problem you mentioned is also resolved. Because, if your cotton compresses, that padding will hold enough so that the tank doesn’t flood.
I used the Ammit with a 66vg/34pg base and it never leaked. At that time, I was still using flavoring, and the flavor+vapor+TH was fine even like that.
I always use 50 pg 50 vg. It has been fine so far.
Thanks for the idea. I’ll definitely try it out. ![]()
