Returning

Hi everyone,

Following Tamás Kaposi’s return, I thought I’d make a post myself, even though I’m an unknown nobody to 11 out of 10 people.

After a long break, I’ve convinced myself to return to the world of vaping. The reason for the break is unfortunately quite horrible. Last year, in a discussion post, I wrote that my wife was pregnant with our 3rd child, who was born in December. The great joy and happiness turned quite tragic for us after a few months, which I was able to cope with to some extent with 2 packs of tar a day.

On May 18th, we were informed at the Heim Pál Hospital that our baby boy has a brain tumor and they either operate or he will die in a few days. Finally, he was operated on May 21st; he survived. However, the surgery unfortunately had a price. He went blind in both eyes. He is still in the hospital to this day and hasn’t been allowed home yet. My wife just came home 3 days ago because our baby boy was moved to another hospital, and she can’t stay with him on that ward anymore.

So, I have finally reached the point where I want to break up with tar again, so after today’s hospital visit, we headed to Párkány, where I left 190 euros.

I’m sorry that I couldn’t scrape together a cheerful post for this evening.

What’s up with you guys? How are things going in your vaping world?

Hi Máté! :hugs:

It is very hard to find words for what you are going through right now. We deeply empathize with you and sincerely thank you for sharing this unimaginably difficult story with us.

Please don’t beat yourself up about the cigarettes at all: in such a struggling situation, it is a completely human and understandable reaction to reach for familiar coping crutches. And the fact that even in this terribly difficult time you are trying to switch back and take action for your health testifies to immense strength.

Believe me, nobody is an “unknown stranger” to us. Vaperina is about the people behind the devices.

We wish you both a lot of strength and perseverance from the bottom of our hearts! If you need help, advice, or just a little distraction with anything, the Community is here behind you. :vaperina: :hugs:
