Hello everyone ![]()
I would like to share a little experience with you. I have had blood pressure problems for quite some time – it started back in primary school – but with the right diet and a small lifestyle change, I managed to keep it under control. I didn’t want to take medication, so I prefer to look after myself, and this has worked well so far. Sometimes my blood pressure rises, but this usually normalizes within a short time.
I can consider myself lucky because I feel when my blood pressure rises – my nape hurts then, and if it’s even higher, my eyes sting too.
Recently I had an interesting (or rather educational) experience that one doesn’t immediately think about. I tried a Wenax pod, which I used for a few days. This pod has a 0.7 ohm mesh coil, so it vaporizes quite a lot.
By the end of the first day, my eyes started stinging, but I thought I was just tired. By the second day, it got worse, and on the third day, it dawned on me that my eyes used to sting because of my blood pressure in the past. I measured it, and indeed, it was significantly high. I immediately took one or two blood pressure pills, which gradually brought it down somewhat, and then the eye stinging also subsided.
The next day, however, it still hadn’t sunk in that excessive nicotine intake might have been the cause, so I used the pod again… and the eye pain and high blood pressure returned. At that point, it occurred to us that maybe this was the cause.
The next day I returned to my familiar MTL RTA – and since then there has been no problem.
Perhaps I made several mistakes:
- I used a lower resistance coil (I probably would have tolerated the higher resistance coil better)
- Habit is a great master, I vaped similarly to how I use the RTA, so significantly more than I should have
- I didn’t pay attention to the nicotine strength (I was vaping the same liquid as from the RTA)
Of course, we know that excessive nicotine intake raises blood pressure, but this isn’t always what comes to mind when we are in the situation.
This is why I wrote this topic, so others might think of this if they experience similar symptoms.
All in all, I’d rather stick to the well-proven MTL RTA line. ![]()
