Fundamentally, it finds the answer to my question at a good rate, of course, like with any AI, the question needs to be asked “well”
What happened to me 2-3 times was that if I clicked on “Gilbert AI” and asked a question, it simply threw back that it was “unavailable” or some similar message.
It helped me a lot with things that weren’t clear and I didn’t want to create the thousandth topic about it. I really can’t find fault with it right now. Maybe what @SiD_SiDoCiOuS also says, that sometimes they didn’t reply.
I really like it, although sometimes it really takes a break.
Similar to those who spoke before me, it helped me a lot at the beginning of the construction process, so I didn’t have to ask the same questions for the twentieth time. If I was looking for something, it could help with that too. It recognizes images well and knows how to analyze them well. Sometimes it’s funny too.
I’ve tried it, but I can do without it, however, I really like that it has style, is witty, funny, and laid-back. I guess the more we post here, the better it will pick up the thread. It provides a collected summary answering frequently asked questions for the convenience of the regulars and the enjoyment of the readers. I dig that it exists.
I think it’s useful… I am not against these, I think AI currently represents the biggest innovation.. Obviously, we’ve all probably seen one of the Terminator movies …
The only negative for me is the SE… So far, it hasn’t been able to help me, or it throws up pages with stock shortages, or Timbuctoo who doesn’t deliver here.. Google can do that much too…
First of all, thank you very much to everyone who has tried Gilbert so far and shared their experiences!
You help a lot in allowing it to continuously develop and become more useful for the Community.
Thank you everyone for the votes and feedback so far!
Yes, unfortunately, this can happen, although rarely. In such cases, Gilbert receives a higher load and can become overloaded for a short time, for example, if multiple people ask it questions simultaneously, and the network connection also slows down slightly.
Several types of errors can occur: sometimes it simply “provides no content,” and other times it returns with an error message. This could be a connection error, or it could be that someone has reached the daily usage limit. In such cases, it is worth writing to it that it did not respond, and if everything is okay—meaning there is no major error or it’s not due to the limit—then it will respond. I hope I can fix the network problem and overload in the near future!
Thank you, Samu, for bringing this up because it is important to clarify that Gilbert does not learn from the conversations happening on the site; rather, we have already trained it and continuously update it with most of the knowledge related to vaping.
When necessary, it calls upon tools, such as Search on Vaperina, Google Search, etc., but it always decides this: if it sees that it can safely answer the question from its own knowledge, it does not use an external tool.
Regarding the SE version, what you are writing is completely justified.
To be honest, this version received significantly less attention from members and from me as well. I have been considering “retiring” it indefinitely for a while now.
The main problem is that most webshops are not built uniformly, so it is often difficult for the bot to interpret the page correctly. This wouldn’t be such a big problem because I have already covered most shops and possibilities, however:
GilbertSE analyzes several websites simultaneously in such cases, and if the structure is illogical somewhere, it may collect incorrect or incomplete data.
This is why it is also important that it collects the “out of stock” indication, because in many cases, it is only revealed on the product page whether the item is actually available.
And solving the issue of finding only sites that deliver to Hungary is almost impossible due to the reasons mentioned above, and often this information only becomes clear during the ordering process.
This is why less relevant webshops may occasionally appear in the results.
I have only used the SE version so far because I was looking for a specific flavor or hardware. I usually call on Gilbert to help with the “where can I buy it” questions from the youngsters. Anyway, I like him because he’s amusing.
