I apologize in advance to everyone, this topic is surely quite boring for the “old-timers” already, and I’m sure I would find the answer I’m looking for among the topics after a long search, but if someone were kind enough to spare a few minutes and write down their suggestion, it would save me a lot of searching.
I’ve never used an RTA before, but I’ve decided I need to change that. Could you recommend a device that would be worth my while? What would be important to me (I guess everyone else feels the same way) is that it reproduces flavor well, and that the materials needed for coiling can be legally obtained in Hungary. I currently have a Geekvape Legend 2 mod, and I thought the Zeus RTA might be a good fit for it.

The most important thing is that we know what you want to use the RTA for… since you mentioned Zeus, I assume for DL, but DL covers a pretty wide spectrum, so you could write a few sentences about what atomizer you are currently using… at how many watts… Also, it’s a question how much you plan to spend on it… Because, for example, a Nightmare Mini is about 60 euros… a Zeus is about 25… we need to know if the material is important and if there is any budget… Or we live once and let it be more expensive but f***ing good
I must honestly admit that although I’ve been using e-cigarettes for 10 years, I have already tried many different devices, and the concepts of DL and MTL were unknown to me until I stumbled upon vaperina. I am currently using the Zeus atomizer for MTL with a z-mesh coil (40-60w, 0.4 ohm) (although it’s not really meant for it). The point is that I am considering both MTL and DL, I would buy two in the price range of roughly €40-50. The higher price wouldn’t deter me either if I knew that the given tank provides good flavor, even if this opinion is subjective.
Then welcome among us. It’s never too late to improve our knowledge.
So MTL… simply put, it means that you first inhale the vapor into your mouth and from there take it into your lungs like a normal cigarette.
DL when it goes straight into the lungs like taking a breath…
I haven’t heard of anyone MTLing at 40-60 watts either. It’s hard to categorize, but generally, I think the average person vapes MTL up to about 20 watts. Because after that, there’s too much vapor that suddenly enters the mouth, and the long, satisfying draws are lost… obviously, to each their own, and a lot depends on many things… Atomizer… cotton… mod… wire… but what’s certain is that you’re currently using a very poor atomizer and tank for this purpose. If you really dive into the world of RTAs, I’m sure new dimensions will open up, and you’ll ask yourself why you didn’t do it sooner..
I think we need to find some kind of hybrid solution… Which isn’t simple , but there are experienced people here who might be able to suggest something. If not, then the two boilers will remain..
There are many vaper colleagues among them who enjoy both lines… Unfortunately, that’s not me… I’m unable to take MTL puffs… So all that’s left is reading with envy.
For me, DL. just doesn’t click. For me, it’s a bit like a shot or that beer we chug down. And yet, it could be savored in multiple steps, giving our brain time to perceive the flavors before they hit all at once.
