I have this squonk mod. For about 1 month now, the display is barely visible. Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong with it, or has anyone experienced this before? Is there a solution for it?
It’s still faintly visible in the dark, I set it up and use it, so it’s not a huge problem, but it would be better if it were more visible.
Perhaps you can’t adjust the brightness in the menu? I searched online, but apparently, it doesn’t have such a menu item.

my old Pico Mega does the same thing. It’s just a spare now, but I’m also curious if there’s anything that can be done about it.
I would try to clean it with isopropyl, then reassemble it. To see if it improves. One common problem is conduction after condensation… (On the electronics).
A good cleaning and I would check the soldering of the ribbon cable. If it has come loose a bit, I would go over it with a soldering iron. Of course, under operating voltage to see if it improves.
I’ll try. (Of course, with help, because I’m not an electronics technician.) I’m glad the mod is screwable and disassemblable.
