1. Regular Nicotine Booster (Freebase)
This is the “traditional” nicotine that vapers have been using for a long time.
- Throat Hit (TH): Gives a stronger throat hit. If you use it at a higher concentration (e.g., 12-18 mg/ml), it will scratch your throat, which gives many people back the feeling of smoking.
- Absorption: Absorbs slower in the body, but its effect lasts longer.
- Who is it recommended for? Those who like to feel the vape “hit” their throat, or those who vape large clouds (DL) with a lower nicotine strength (e.g., 3-6 mg).
2. Nicotine Salt
This is a more natural form of nicotine, treated with an acid (usually benzoic acid) to modify its pH value.
- Throat Hit (TH): Very smooth. Even at high concentrations (e.g., 20 mg/ml), it doesn’t scratch as much as regular nicotine.
- Absorption: It enters the bloodstream much faster, almost instantly (similar to a real cigarette), so nicotine cravings subside quickly.
- Who is it recommended for? Those who can’t stand throat scratch but need a high nicotine intake. It’s typically best for lower-power pod systems and MTL (mouth-to-lung) use.
