I’ve been using e-cigs for quite a while now, and I’ve found my niche in them, but I want to explore further. Currently, I’m passionate about the RDL (Restricted Direct Lung) style, but I also feel a desire towards the MTL (Mouth-to-Lung) style. I already acquired a YachtVape Pandora V2 tank, but I can’t utilize the poor thing because I don’t have a suitable mod for it. Could you recommend a device that is adjustable in 0.1 W increments? Or, for those who have experience, is the LostVape Thelema Solo - Quest adjustable in this way?
Hi! Although I have no experience with the mod you chose, after watching one or two videos, it became clear to me that the power can be adjusted in 0.5 Watt increments.
If you are thinking in this price range and looking for a new one, you will most likely no longer find a mod that can be adjusted in tenths of a Watt.
In my opinion, this is not that significant. For example, I set the power to 9-12 Watts for my MTL atomizers, and I don’t feel the need for, say, the 11.9 Watt setting at all.
By the way, most of my mods would be capable of it.
Hi, I also watched videos about it. Unfortunately, the ones I’ve seen so far show it capable of going from 5 to 6 W, I just don’t know what the increment is, because they crank it up so fast that at higher wattages, the increment is indeed 0.5 W and 1 W.
Hi, I don’t know the tank and mod mentioned in the description, but I can recommend the Dotmod DotBox 100W mod to you, which is adjustable in tenths of a watt if we put a rebuildable tank on it. It can also be used with 21700 and 18650 batteries. It is available in several colors. I am satisfied with it, it’s worth a look.
I also asked Gilbert about the mod you mentioned and he replied this:
The Lost Vape Thelema Solo Quest mod works with the Quest 2.0 chip, and the answer is yes, but only up to a certain limit!
What I found regarding the mod’s specifications: adjustment in tenths of a watt (0.1W) is available, but the system generally only allows it up to about 20W. Above this, the step size switches to 0.5W. This is common practice for most modern mods, allowing for finer adjustment at lower wattages.
So, if you vape at lower watts, you can fine-tune it perfectly, but if you go higher, you can step in half-watt increments.
According to a forum discussion: “The Lost Vape Thelema Solo and Thelema Quest mods have 0.1 increments up to about 20w then they go up by 0.5 from there.”

Since this information is from 2022, it is worth keeping in mind that there might have been a firmware update since then that changed this, but the basic operation of the chip is generally stable.
Hi! On the RDL - DL line, the tenth watts are completely unnecessary… I believe they matter in the lower range on the MTL line, but I don’t think so higher up.. there is no divine gourmet who can feel the difference between 25.9 and 30 watts.. I know this is subjective, so treat this as my personal opinion..
Hi, I know exactly about the RDL line I prefer. However, I want to focus on the MTL line now, and that’s exactly why I’d like to pair a suitable mod with the Pandora V2, because currently I can’t fine-tune at lower Wattage, even though I need to
Hi! As a long-time MTL user, I find the adjustment in tenths unnecessary. Approximately, the first generation Vaporesso Gen devices are also capable of this, but for example, I never used it.
No problem, however, even with the RDL, the option for a 0.5W adjustment isn’t a negative thing. Indeed, the story here isn’t about the flavors, but about the quality of the vapor. Here, even 0.5-1 W can cool the vapor enough for the experience to be more pleasant
For a long time, I partly thought the same way, but when I tested the Pandora V2 in real use, I first noticed that my flavor output dropped below 1 W, or my vapor became very cold, and this ruined the experience for me. If I opened the airflow more, then it wasn’t as restricted as I wanted. Overall, it doesn’t make much difference to the flavor, but it influences my vaping experience.
I agree, however, I had the opportunity to try a Hastur mod, and a 0.3 W reduction made it miles better. Unfortunately, I only got it on loan and already had to return it
I swear I don’t want to convince you, but high-quality flavor, vapor, and TH depend on many factors. Primarily the tank’s coil or atomizer, the wick, and of course, the mod itself. It’s not even certain that your preferred setup will deliver what you expect. For example, I swear by tight top airflow and a long, finned drip tip, so I use almost all my tanks only with my trusted mod.
Great topic! Completely subjective… But in my opinion, these half watts here or there only bring order to our minds, we calm down thinking it’s better this way, even though nothing changes.
