Ok, so today I came across 2 anti-vape articles on FB, one with a photo of the all-knowing Mr. “Záher”… because many people believe him. So, it seems nothing has changed for the better disinformation, fear-mongering. I even wrote there that the depth of the article’s content is such that they might as well have written: eating is harmful.
I was immediately shut down by some idiot, saying only if I eat asbestos.
Congratulations, the propaganda works well in every area most people have no idea what this is, but they have planted the idea in their heads that it is dangerous, harmful… And let’s raise the price of cigarettes again, everything is already European, only the standard of living and wages will never be.
Yes, that is exactly what I wrote about a few hours ago. The press then circulates such articles.
They know that the more they raise the price of tobacco products (now the excise duty), the more people try to switch to electronic ones. That is how they want to deter people from it. (They need the revenue.) Of course, no one talks about the harms of traditional smoking or a comparison of the potential harms of the two anymore.
Did anyone seriously think there would be a positive change in this matter?
In my opinion, the Slovaks are doing it right; why should we screw over thousands of people because of a few idiots who are incapable of using moderation in their smoking—or in our case, vaping?
It’s about the same as with alcohol: if someone drinks 1-2 beers every couple of days, of course, nothing happens to them, but when they knock back a liter of hard liquor daily along with a few beers, their liver gives up sooner, of course.
It’s the same situation with vaping; as Gábor Zacher also said (this is almost the only sentence of his I agree with), if it’s used like a regular cigarette, it’s less harmful. If we vape a little more in a day, there’s no problem with that either, but when they burn through a 6-in-1 disposable vape in 1-2 days, then they are surprised that their lungs give up the fight quickly.
We are back to the same old story: because of a few sick individuals, everyone else has to be cornered.
But this is exactly why the whole thing is flawed, and why people draw the wrong conclusions… because when used excessively, everything is harmful; you can even die from multivitamins in one week. From the sensational headlines and shared articles, the ‘general public’ concludes that it’s harmful and dangerous.
(And I haven’t even mentioned, intentionally, the additives not meant for e-liquid that some people have actually used to kill themselves – but that is not the general phenomenon, just 1-2 cautionary tales).
Yes, but that’s how propaganda news works. But if a big multinational corporation were to enter the vaping market, the news stories would sound very different.
It wouldn’t have been difficult for them; with the fortune they have, they could easily buy out a manufacturer or two and wouldn’t even have to develop the foundations themselves.
Well yes, if they saw a big enough business opportunity in it, it suddenly wouldn’t be “the work of the devil.” But unfortunately, it cannot beat tobacco profit, which is producing something very cheaply and selling it for a fortune. In the current situation, it only poses a threat to their margins.
And on top of that, it’s funny how regular cigarettes have also become inferior over the last 10 years, plus if even a tenth of what they say about them being adulterated, treated with chemicals afterwards, and tampered with is true, then that’s been a bad situation for a long time.
this is the funniest of them all, the British said 95% less harmful, [then a] PM-funded study where they took some disposable junk [that was] 20x more harmful than a regular cigarette, the difference between the two is a bit large and this doesn’t bother anyone because since it’s PM-funded it’s valid, because, well, tobacco multi [corporation], they’re definitely right, it doesn’t smell like a fix at all
Yes, and it doesn’t dawn on anyone that Philip is a tobacco company. Why would it be in their interest for you not to buy cigarettes? Marketing… just the dirtier version of it.
