Dentists also recommend toothpastes. But don’t they make a living from tooth problems
And some toothpastes, after 36 months of use, can even stimulate the development of missing teeth…
I mean, in the form of a tap tooth ![]()

By the way, in this e-cigarette matter, there would now be an opportunity for some pressure until the elections, because both major parties really need that + many 10s/100k votes, so they would promise us all sorts of shit, that they will fix everything in this matter against the evil tobacco multinational lobby, just vote for us… okay, obviously I’m dreaming, because these assholes keep all their promises, as we know
, but at least we could hold these assholes—oh sorry, I mean, these fairy-wand-suckers—accountable afterwards.
So the task would roughly be to confront our dear politicians, who keep the interests of our people above all else, during their country tours with this injustice affecting e-cigarettes.
Moreover, even the dogs/Klara could lobby for this, maybe crossing the 1% threshold depends on this.
I’m not politicizing, but I think they have even more egregious sins than this…
To be honest, it’s not sure it can be fixed.
I also tried to write it impartially, so that this wouldn’t become a separate debate. I only tried to highlight that there won’t be a better opportunity to exert pressure than the final stretch of the campaign, whatever the next government might be.
Unfortunately, most things are like this. And besides that, it cannot be rehabilitated, one cannot get redress for it, and even in case of any retaliation, I don’t feel it evens out.
I’d just like to react to a few things:
“The use of electronic cigarettes can promote addiction to traditional tobacco products in young people.”
Doesn’t the use of traditional tobacco products also promote addiction to traditional tobacco products, and not just in young people? Should we ban that too? I understand, a smoke-free Europe, but by that logic, should we also ban alcohol? It’s harmful too. A world without alcohol and smoke would be nice, but this shouldn’t be achieved by banning, but by informing people about the harmful effects, making the risks even more public knowledge, but not shaming those who smoke. Somehow they should make smoke-free life “cool”.
“E-cigarettes can create nicotine addiction to the same extent as traditional cigarettes, and regular use is proven to increase the likelihood of addiction to traditional cigarettes. The developed addiction makes one susceptible to the combined use of multiple tobacco products, as well as to further drug use.”
Nicotine causes nicotine addiction? And nicotine addicts get addicted to nicotine? No shit Sherlock.
Further drug use? Then I’d like to mention alcohol again.
“The use of e-cigarettes increases blood pressure, heart rate, and arterial stiffness.”
Alcohol has similar effects.
“E-cigarette use is more often associated with oral diseases. It can contribute to the recession of the gums and jawbone and tooth loss.”
All tobacco products are like this. Air belongs in our lungs, food and drink belong in our mouths.
”The evidence of the damaging effect of some components of the aerosol produced by e-cigarettes on genetic material is proven. Some known carcinogens, such as formaldehyde and acrolein, are found in lower amounts in e-cigarette vapor than in traditional cigarette smoke, but it is not yet sufficiently clear what this means in terms of cancer risk.”
Alcohol also has similar effects. Oh, and if the harmful substances are present in smaller amounts, then why aren’t we reducing traditional tobacco products?
I don’t really support disposable e-cigarettes because they aim to get you addicted to the strong flavor and how much it “hits”. If I make it myself from a reliable source, at least I know what’s in it.
I switched to e-cigarettes after about 2 months of traditional cigarettes, and then to Terea for 2 years. I switched to e-cigarettes because it was cheaper and less harmful than traditional ones, and to Terea because e-cigarettes were too cheap and I easily overdid it (and you can only get Steam Train from Greeks anyway, and I’ve had many bad experiences with flavors, only once out of 30 with them). Now I’m at the point where I want to quit and return to casual smoking, maybe even with an e-cigarette. I ordered from the French Indian-themed site on Saturday, I’m already waiting for it.
Whether I can restrain myself, I don’t know, but I really hope so.
- If you switched after two months of classic smoking, then the addiction wasn’t the classic one yet, but it had already developed with e-cigarettes. There was still a way out then. 2. You shouldn’t consume alcohol every day, but they can also help with problems related to alcohol consumption; to start, it’s worth filling out the AUDIT questionnaire, which is available online, also in Hungarian. These are facts based on scientific evidence, which is how professionals (especially doctors) who can help with quitting are taught and trained. Although doctors won’t have time for this, not even in primary care. I agree with the rest

Yes, I could have quit then, but the situation was complicated, so the option was either vape or regular cigarettes. I don’t really want to explain this, I regret afterwards that it happened this way.
Fortunately, I don’t have alcohol problems, but I haven’t heard of this AUDIT questionnaire before, I learned something today ![]()
Students are also surprised when they fill it out at university and it turns out they are considered risky drinkers, but I reassure them that during university (for those who go out partying and drink then) it comes out like this for many people (for me too), so they shouldn’t rush to addiction services thinking they have alcohol problems
It’s good for the GP (ideally, in practice I don’t know how many actually do it) to have the person fill it out, and if there’s a problem, suggest seeking help. But considering the domestic statistics regarding the number of people struggling with alcohol problems, it’s unfortunately not very effective ![]()
(Unfortunately, I’ve gotten really hooked on disposable vapes because they taste amazing… And even though I have a relatively good e-cigarette (VooPoo Vinci Spark 100, though I guess this isn’t considered a serious category here) I simply can’t order liquids that have an acceptable taste quality, or any taste at all. I try them from different places, but the smell is good when opening, but there’s no taste… And unfortunately, I don’t understand mixing. And then last summer, the first darn disposable vape came along, and its flavor immediately hit me, unfortunately…)
Regarding vaping: I have a Geekvape Wenax Q Pro (specifically 3, they spontaneously duplicated due to a warranty issue which was fixed in the meantime
), it’s a pod system, so I’d consider myself more of an entry-level vaper, but I know that after disposables, I was also looking for similar flavors. In the meantime, I found Steam Train flavors, but I wouldn’t classify them in the ‘too flavorful’ category either. I once bought a Riot Squad Blue Burst in Austria, well, maybe that was the sweetest/most flavorful I’ve vaped after disposables.
Mixing isn’t hard, mixing a shortfill is about as complex as salting your fries, and a longfill is like adding ketchup from a sachet. I once calculated how many boosters are needed for the desired strength (there’s a calculator for this on the forum), then you just have to pour.
If, in the meantime, you feel that the flavor isn’t enough, it could be flavor fatigue (using the same flavor for too long can cause it).
This is usually the “trump card” argument.
I don’t consider it realistic. It doesn’t even acknowledge that e-cigarettes don’t necessarily have to contain nicotine, but it assumes that young people will immediately start with a nicotine one.
Anyone who has smoked knows that analogue cigarettes smell bad and taste awful. I don’t think someone who has only used e-cigarettes exclusively would easily start smoking one, unless they are extremely nicotine-dependent, but even then it’s questionable.
I used to smoke quite a lot, but I might feel sick now if I had to smoke an analogue cigarette.
I think they typically try out e-cigarettes because they think it’s “cool,” and then they forget about it. It’s actually interesting that they don’t worry about trying analogue ones…
Hi everyone, I’ll jump into this conversation too.
I’m not a pro vaper, but I do have some good tasting DIY mixes, I must add, partly from legal Hungarian or foreign shops.
I don’t drink alcohol, that’s for sure… (you can say whatever you want about me, and I’m long past 18).
Parties…. if friendly bowling, birthday parties, etc. count as that, then you can do that too without alcohol and cigarettes (tere (weed) or whatever else we call it).
When you smoke 2 packs a day of brown sofi, then you can say you used to smoke.
I quit that almost 8 years ago, and I exclusively vape. Many here can attest that I’m not talking nonsense.
You need to find cool flavors, mix them yourself, and it’s cheaper and healthier than any party beer or cigarette.
It got long, but I think you get the point.
Another article.
Exhausting…
anyway, this is what today’s world has brought, that everyone is easily fooled, and nothing is certain or credible.
(Perhaps what I see or touch).
It’s not even related to the article, but I’ll write it down.
Recently I read an article where it turned out that the results of a study from over a decade ago were bad and flawed.
There’
It’s like comparing mangalica fat and traditional pig fat.
Was there something “similar” in Orwell’s Animal Farm?:
All animals are equal, but some animals are more
I miss “Research was commissioned by Philip Morris” from the bottom of the article ![]()
