Úúúúú. A protected battery is highly recommended because you don’t know when the battery will discharge. There is a risk of deep discharge. Batteries safely operate down to 3.2 volts, and normal chargers recognize them up to this point. Below that, the battery is considered dead. At 2.75V, they offer an explosive experience. Chip-based mods will no longer allow use at 3.3V. The wattage you paired with 1.2 Ohm might give a harsher feel than you’re used to. With mechanical mods, calculating resistance is key. V (voltage) is W (power), I (current) is A (Amps), R (resistance) is Ohm. V=I x R. The battery we use intermittently delivers 1.5 times more Amps than in normal operation. E.g., a 25 Amp battery intermittently delivers 35 Amps, better ones up to 40.
