In the very beginning, mechanical mods were widespread. I never used protected batteries. I never had problems with over-discharge; when the battery reaches 3.6 volts, it’s already significantly noticeable on the vape that it needs charging and replacement. There’s one thing to pay attention to, and that is not to build a short circuit. In all other cases, it works perfectly.
