We are past the election. We know there are those among you who are celebrating, and those who are worried or disappointed. But remember: we come here to relax, help each other, and share our experiences.
Vaperina has always been an island of peace, a place where our common passion connects us, not our political views.
We ask everyone to be patient and respectful of each other today as well. Let’s leave the arguments for other platforms, and here let’s focus on what the Community is really about!
I completely agree!
For me, anger generated by politics is one of the saddest things. As a father, it’s terribly heartbreaking to see two little ones who love each other and are good friends being sad because one child isn’t invited to the other’s birthday party just because the parents hate each other due to their political differences. Unfortunately, these are real experiences, and I always speak my mind against this everywhere when politics and disagreements come up, hoping that maybe some people will notice the symptoms in themselves and reflect on it.
I feel the same way. It never mattered to me before what ‘religion’ someone was, as long as they were a worthy member and human. (I have a hard time with large-scale theft and unfair or absurd things I had to write this down because it also doesn’t matter to me how they lighten my pocket.)
However, I would like to note: I would welcome positive changes in the area of vape, our hobby, it’s been through enough…
It’s sad that Donát had to open a post on this topic. That he has to draw attention to why we are here on Vaperina. Sorry, it came out like that. Apologies.
Okay, so perhaps because of vaping’s troubled situation, no one here will be scolding politics/lawmakers… like they have been Because that’s unpleasant to hear too. We just have to quietly accept what has been cooked up (right now).
I don’t want to stir anything up, but I’ve never made a stronger political statement than this sentence. And the vape issue cannot be viewed completely out of its context, ‘floating’.
By the way, it would also sound absurd to say that for ten years I had to eat at someone else’s canteen, but now I’ve cooked myself, or vice versa.
Anyway, everyone here is constantly eating. It’s not clear what the cooks and the head cook are all about.
Alright.I’ll also say what’s on my mind. For 16 years, they made a fool of me, and I put up with it. Now I’m fooling others, those from whom I received this treatment.Vice versa, it really hurts them now, but I stand by my opinion as I have done so far P.S.: Let this page remain as it started And as our learned fellow vaper wrote: PEACE
Oh, but many people already took these 16 years of “fooling around” for granted, as the default situation. Because something else is already “unthinkable”…
Regardless of party affiliation, I will always loathe profiteers, thieves, professional celebrity pundits, those who act smart by exploiting others, kept individuals, the unreasonably rich, and I won’t list any further.
Of course, PEACE, and let it be so, but responsibility and consequences must also be borne.
I wouldn’t put it in the “joke” section, because it’s very relevant right now:
K.L., a cultural public figure, was asked at a performance: “You have such good insights, haven’t you ever thought about taking on a political role?” To which he replied with a joke… I hope I’m quoting him accurately, if briefly!
A Jew, a Hindu, and a politician are on a trip and arrive at an inn in the evening. The innkeeper invites them in, but says there are only two beds, and the third person will have to sleep in the stable…
Says the Jew: Gentlemen, we are all gentlemen, and I offer myself, I will go out and sleep in the stable…
He goes out, they lie down, but after an hour he wakes up those sleeping in the house and stands at the door.
Gentlemen! I’d be happy to sleep in the stable, but there’s a pig there too, can you understand?
Says the Hindu: We are all gentlemen, I’ll do everything for the team, it’s natural, I’ll go out and sleep in the stable…
He goes out, they lie down, but after an hour he wakes up those sleeping in the house and stands at the door:
Gentlemen! I’d be happy to sleep in the stable, but there’s a cow there too, can you understand?
No problem - says the politician - we are all gentlemen, then I will go out and sleep in the stable…
An hour later, the pig and the cow stand at the door…
