Innokin Coolfire Z80 - from a beginner's perspective

Hello everyone, perhaps a beginner’s post might be interesting too.

When choosing my first mod, opinions were important. But they differed drastically. Well, this did not reflect its usability or quality. Perhaps an assembly error, perhaps something else, but surely there’s better, surely there’s prettier, yet I think they deceived me! The negative posts. It was good to stick to my gut feeling! I bought it as a set with the Zenith II tank.

Externally, we fundamentally get a beautifully crafted device and tank. Hats off. Since it’s my profession, I can see how it can be manufactured economically in large series. I can say they didn’t cut corners for pennies… The battery cap’s small nub is well-executed. The position of the flip-out nub could have been more decisive, but it’s great even like this. This is a matter of taste. I don’t know what idea the manufacturer was guided by, but they also included magnetic battery removal in the cap. It remains to be seen if it was a good idea at Vasas. The bottom doesn’t attract filings; it has holes.
The split leather on the body is very nice and comfortable. I like the grip and weight. The mod body consists of several parts; there’s a slight deviation in the lines, but it’s not disturbing. The Gun Metal color is nice, though its name is less fitting, as gunmetal is usually bronzed. It’s a device with a firm grip in hand. The buttons, USB-C, and display are all perfect. I’m looking for a USB-C cover if I can find one. The Zenith II tank was well-assembled. I was in a hurry, rushing for the year-end closing. It had time to soak, not just 5 minutes. The package also includes an O-ring set. And 2 drip tips. The drip tips are also nicely O-ringed there, well, yes, what is the material of the O-ring? Silicone by the look of it. I accept material suggestions—I’ll make the drip tip myself, in whatever shape I want. ((P6(G,66) is excluded)) <ULTEM-the manufacturer even writes it).
The tank heats up. A little. Everything does, really. It is summer heat, after all. Refilling is similar, so we can’t avoid a battery charger. The “don’t charge in the mod” rule is completely justified. The display and menu are understandable. Its operation is great. I miss the physical power switch. One with a decisive action. The liquid in the first tank I filled was tasty. Pineapple. Here comes the drawback of the large tank. Because it’s becoming unpleasant. So, I won’t get away with buying another one. The airflow is different after the Wape Wick pod; I don’t like it. It should be tighter, or rather, have a larger closure. Its workmanship, however, is excellent. From a professional perspective, it can be efficiently manufactured on a Y+B axis (B is a turret with many tools, and it also rotates), with 2 rev. heads, counter-spindle, and wire-feeding lathe. It can be beautified with the Torwall process, then coating, assembly… The rest is done by robotic machining.
It’s clear there’s plenty of engineering and blue-collar work in it.
The first experience was intense. Of course, I read about it afterward. Yes, I charged the battery in the mod. With my smallest adapter.
The liquid choice wasn’t good, 50/50 pineapple. Intense flavor, due to the 50/50. Yes, a well-matched blend. You can feel the sharper, more acidic part of the pineapple. However, the taste becomes irritating after a while. I need another tank. Maybe even more.

The buttons are adequate; perhaps a physical fire button lock would have been nice. The screen is perfect, with a harder plexiglass (or polycarbonate) on it.
The mod’s material choice is good for cooling. It doesn’t spit liquid. The flavor is fuller than with a POD. And here’s where it becomes annoying after a while. 30 puffs, and I’m done. With a slightly stronger restriction, however, it will be great. So, the airflow is perfect for me, but a little restriction is needed to make it “analog,” meaning not so unusual.
I’d like a case because it can protect against scratches, which isn’t really true if it’s in your pocket and anything falls in, it will scratch, even under a case. In a work pocket, it would likely get scratched, so I need an ugly one too. This won’t be it. Let’s get used to each other.

And let’s not forget, there are good people here who help beginners, thank you.

This Inno was still produced together with Phil, there were quality criteria. However, our guy switched to RDL after a while, this might explain the looser airflow. I usually recommend this to colleagues in the office after a pod. Good choice, congrats. Especially that you wrote it down!

Hi. Great description. You wrote that you work in a metal industry and that metal dust filings get everywhere, right? I recommend the Geekvape Legend mod. It’s water and dust resistant, has a physical button lock, and is really durable.
My colleague uses it, and it’s fine, even though it gets a lot of abuse. It’s important that the Legend 3 does not have a physical button lock. It has pressure and heat sensors there.

Thank you. Good device. Actually, it all depends on the tank. It’s certainly not insignificant on the coil either. I’ll try another coil too. I’m looking at tanks too. Good after a pod, yes for the office. It’s no use having a desk, sawdust is sawdust.

I would skip the pressure sensor. I started with a wide wick pod. It

That’s why I wrote that Legend 2 has a physical switch. Legend 3 does not. However, Legend 5 just came out, and it also has a switch. :slightly_smiling_face:

The Legend series isn’t exactly small in size :joy: it’s especially important to me to have a compact, pocket-friendly size  and also important to me that it doesn’t have a glass body.. it’s in my pocket and the metal parts like to just come off on their own… :joy: That’s why a cheap pod was perfect for work.. and now a cheap AIO serves me…

So, legend 3 is to be avoided (for me). Thank you. It’s good

Similar, WideWick, but I’m looking for a button pod instead.

I’d look around at three atomizers, a compact MTL clone. For one thing, it has a 0.8mm pin, which provides a tight draw you missed with the Zenith, and for another, that’s a higher level. You’ll learn to build your own coils, wick it, and you’ll be surprised how simple it is. Don’t buy a pod, you should always aim higher. Z80 works for that too. You can find cotton, wire, and a coil jig there.

2fdeal is a great shop, the ordered goods arrived in 15 days.
There are many different kinds of vape-related items.

Even better, there’s also the yihi MQ class mod if you want a new mod, and a dwarf too (Dvarw, just so the colleague understands).

Yes, I would like a buildable one.
New mod, interesting because it would have to meet many criteria. I don’t know if it’s possible to meet so many at once.
However, I would be interested in a buildable kit. Yes, I’ll have to buy the MOD later. Because I like it too much to use it on the device. Even though it’s a cheap item. In the meantime, the pod I have is a solution.
A rebuildable kit, interesting, I’ve been thinking about it. I’m not afraid of a little assembly. Although these are tiny things.

Thank you very much. I was able to reply yesterday.

Thank you again. The mod proved itself, it’s economical with the battery. I also got batteries and a charger. Chips aren’t dangerous for the Pico. I’ll just need to order a 510 riser. I’m also trying DL with a clearomizer. The Z80 eats the battery, it loves it.
I’d still like to get everything together as we discussed.
Then I’ll be into building too.

Thank you very much. It’s very economical with the battery. Simple. Durable. The only issue is the cap, which barely fits, but a pry tool solves everything.
