Hi everyone! I started a new topic because this isn’t about mixing ratios. It’s more about what tricks can be used to make the 18 or 20 mg/ml nicotine officially sold in tobacconists last as long as possible. So that you can also feel something from it. First, I diluted the whole thing, so it’s consumed with the base liquid anyway, and you can barely feel that there’s nicotine in it. Then I started doing this: after changing the cotton, I ‘nicotined’ the cotton, and as I vaped, the stuff diluted. The saving didn’t really work out. I was right, though, that you crave it the most at the beginning, and later on, it’s fine even without it, but well. With the Dvarw, it’s easy to unscrew the tank, take off the cap, and drip onto the cotton when I feel the need. But that also failed the saving aspect. The last thing I tried, and still do, is because I have many atomizers, relatively, more than devices. I fill the mini Dvarw completely with nic-liquid, diluted at a ratio of half, max 1:3. I carry the large Dvarw MTL-FL atomizer filled with zero-nic base liquid, flavored, and vape that after 4-5 puffs. This way, not much is consumed, and if I want it, I always have the nic-liquid and the zero-nic available. How do you do it? I’d be happy to read any ideas that deviate from the traditional, mix-it-all-together solutions.
Me, who is still 18mg in MTL… well, I don’t vape while sleeping, that way I also save. I can’t think of any other tricks ![]()
A strong throat hit might help for a while.
The actual goal would be: 1 ampoule of 10ml nicotine solution to last for 1 week. But if it only takes 20ml per week, I’ll settle for that too. I just won’t go to the tobacco shop more often than that. I think a separate tank for the nicotine is the most controllable. This way, it probably won’t be overdosed or wasted.
Hi, just a question.. basically, what amount of nicotine is it that you vape.. or vaped in the heroic age of nicotine?
Just because with 1 vial, 60 ml of 3.3 mg/ml can be made… that’s 240 ml/month, which is roughly 8ml/day, which could even cover the day in MTL.
I was surprised to read your lines because I’ve never met anyone who tries to manage their nicotine in such ways.
Basically, vaping is suitable for quitting nicotine, or just reducing it significantly… I gradually and nicely slowly reduced it from 18/mg/ml (we smoked like that for 4.5 years) down to a maximum of 6 for my wife + aroma… and down to 3 for myself + aroma. And I feel exactly the same as when I was vaping 18mg.
From my experience, as I’ve been doing it for quite some time: Back in the early days, they also sold liquids called ready-made at 18-20 mg/ml. Now, the officially sellable nic-shots are that much. I don’t really understand why they sell both 18 and 20 mg ones. True, today I only got the latter, the 20mg one was sold out. But that extra 2x2 mg isn’t really worth 400 HUF when projected onto 2 ampoules (it’s also that much more expensive). At 3 mg/ml, you can’t really feel it anymore, unless you balance it out with some very good flavor, then maybe it’s acceptable. I settled on 5-6 mg/ml. You can still feel it, but it’s really not much. I did smoke a 21 mg/ml nicotine mix back in the day, but that was “potent”, even according to the person giving it to me. I wasn’t smart enough to dilute it. But today, as I wrote, I dilute such things at least by half, or by a third. Tasting will ultimately tell the right ratio.
I think if I have another container with empty base liquid, I can continue with that anytime without falling into the disadvantages of pre-mixing.
Hi Uncle Feri!
Hope you are in good health ![]()
I don’t want to encourage you, but a few posts up you’ll find a site where you can still order, of course if you’d like.
Hangsen had 24g, and perhaps even 32 initially. I bought some back in 2011. But that’s in the past now… ![]()
Hi
Off the top of my head, I’m thinking of a slightly PG heavy, menthol, cooling flavor profile, and some kind of tight pod system, though I guess that’s not an option.
But you can also play around with the coil build, for example:
Thinner wire, smaller core size, more wraps = smaller surface area → higher resistance, lower wattage = less e-liquid consumption, more economical use.
Then you can also vary the TH with the coil position. The higher you place it, the greater the throat hit. This might help boost the sensation enough that you can reduce the nicotine level a bit. If you combine this with some cooling flavor (if you like it), that can also improve it, and you’re pretty much there.
It might also be worth adjusting the airflow. If the airflow is a bit tighter, that also increases the TH and atomizes less, so it can be more economical. Though this is fixed with Dvarw.
I’m not saying it will last a week, but you might be able to slightly reduce the nicotine and consumption. ![]()
Of course, these are individual things, I’m just writing generally, hoping something might be useful.
You can’t really substitute nicotine. The throat hit can be increased, for example, with more PG, but this won’t make nicotine cravings milder. You can get used to less nicotine, but it requires a little self-control to avoid vaping the lower nicotine liquid more often. Your body will adjust within a few weeks.
Thank you. Basically, you write good things, although these are things already known. Although no one has confirmed it, I confidently state it based on the experience of the past 2 days: It is worth keeping separate tanks for the nicotine mixture and the aroma-only one. Because I want to save on nicotine alone, and then I can blow out as much empty vapor as I feel like. This is even reflected in power consumption; instead of charging the battery twice a day, one battery lasts for 2 days with the nicotine one. Yet I never have a nicotine shortage, because the nicotine-only tank is always at hand. Fewer puffs from the stronger one are enough. I’m long past diluting it until it’s not noticeable at all. That path is impassable for me.
The problem is that your case, in my opinion, is unique and individual… Unfortunately or fortunately, I’ve been talking a lot about vape topics recently, including with those who want to save money or whose financial situation doesn’t allow them to [vape] as much as they’d like, whenever they want.
There are two cases: either they vape as much as their wallet allows, or they’ve reduced the nicotine amount very low…
This doesn’t rule out the possibility that it could work, like 1 puff of nicotine followed by 10 puffs without nicotine, although that seems strange to me too… so I’m sure that those smarter than me would gladly offer advice if anyone had such experience… But as I wrote, this seems like a terribly unique attempt to save on nicotine, in my opinion!
Similarly, people didn’t understand my switching from cigarettes to a pipe. And yet, I read in a medical book that in the past, the pipe was much healthier, there weren’t as many diseases as long as the old people smoked pipes. Because the pipe doesn’t burn at 800 degrees, only at 400, because you don’t inhale it into your lungs, because instead of 2 packs of cigarettes a day, 1-2 packs of tobacco a week is enough. The proof that it’s healthier is that I don’t cough in the mornings. Granted, vapor is only that much better because you can inhale it without worry, at most it has an expectorant effect.
Back then, I could smoke for 1 week - well, I instinctively smoked it all too
It doesn’t just work after cigarettes. It takes a few months until you don’t smoke anything, complete quitting. After that, you can try. Well, the pipe isn’t that healthy either; I almost set the car on fire with the embers blown out of it. The wind coming in through the window carried the ember to the back seat. Luckily, it only burned in a circle about a finger’s width to the bottom of the seat sponge. With cigarettes, if you use the ashtray, this can’t happen.
The solution is simple…come to New York
Since I’ve been here, I’m consuming a third to a quarter of the dose I used to back home, and I don’t tremble from the less nicotine.
Or to Szolnok… you’d even eat filthy cotton wool ![]()

Hi,
nic salt? nicso? or regular booster?
What are you taking, what is your goal?
Nicotine salt is suitable for large nicotine intake, but it doesn’t really have a TH (throat hit).
A normal nic booster truly has a noticeable TH.
It matters what your goal is, and which one you are trying to achieve it with.
