Floravita

Hi everyone! Yesterday I received this message:

"
We hereby inform you that the batch of propylene glycol previously sent to you has been recalled, as it is highly likely that the content of the bottle is actually distilled water. Please do not use this product as propylene glycol under any circumstances!

We will of course correct the error: we will deliver the impeccable quality, correct product to the shipping address provided in the order by the beginning of next week at the latest.

There is no need to return the faulty batch. If you wish to check the contents of the bottle, you can do so with a simple test: if you place it in the freezer for a few hours, the distilled water will begin to freeze, while propylene glycol only freezes below -40 °C. As distilled water, it can be used and contains no impurities.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding!

If you have any further questions, please reply to this email, and we will be happy to assist you.

Is anyone else in the same boat? I already mixed a 70/30 base with it, what should I do with it?

I’ll test it tomorrow to see if it really is that, but the base liquid seemed quite thin already, so it’s quite likely to be distilled water.

P.S.: “tályékoztatjuk” is a nice touch

Hi!! Yesterday Zolee @TheSoftParade1968 Showed Exactly This! Put it in the freezer, if it doesn’t freeze, you’ve won an extra bottle, because they’re sending another one!! If it freezes, use it elsewhere, e.g. in an ultrasonic cleaner!! If you checked it and it’s not PG then what you mixed, in my opinion, pour it out!!

Mine unfortunately froze, then after thawing it went into the car wash.

It can happen, and it was ultimately correct.

I mixed distilled water last time, of course not for liquid… it’s neither good in taste nor vapor

Yes, it happens, Béla is always correct! :slightly_smiling_face:

You’ll be fine. They usually add distilled water to the base in minimal proportion to increase the throat hit, but it doesn’t carry flavors well. I haven’t tried it yet, but if you mix the aroma into full distilled water, I predict it will make you cough a lot and have hardly any flavor.

I’m on the “don’t add to it” side (I like the TH, but for me the tank is the thing; water isn’t for coil building, I solve it differently), and by the way, such a mistake can ruin a few not-cheap aromas if someone doesn’t notice it. However, the company informed us correctly, I merely expressed my sympathy, hoping nobody gets screwed/got screwed :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes, we used to add it (to the base itself ), but here it’s not about 2-5% which could even improve the taste… Of course, one won’t experience any harm even with a larger percentage, and at most they’ll get to 1-2 puffs and then quickly realize something isn’t right.

Hi everyone, mine also froze, good thing I only ordered it as a backup

We hope many will notice, if nothing else, during pouring, because it is considerably thinner than PG…

This topic of water is interesting, meaning not the Floravita bottling mishap, but rather whether to add water to the e-liquid. I don’t use water for mixing either, but it previously appeared on Blendfeel’s manufacturer website that they recommend it up to 10%, although it wasn’t clear to me for what kind of vape systems.

I’ve now searched for a flavor description from there again, I’ll paste the translation result:

Aroma di Tabacco® extracts are made from the finest tobacco leaves available on the market. The selection and research are carried out with extreme care, and the products come directly from producers identified at the cultivation sites to our manufacturing facility.

The classic dosage for the product is 10%, however, depending on individual taste, dilution can also be freely carried out between 6% and 12%.

The product does not require a separate maturation process, however, it is important to note that the aroma characteristics evolve over time, which may slightly alter the sensory experience. Maturation time and dosage are entirely subjective for this type of product, and the sensory experience is influenced by the type of vaporizer used and the composition of the base liquid.

Recommended base liquids:

  • Bases containing water, classically in a VG/PG/H₂O = 40/50/10 ratio,
  • or in efficient tank systems or bottom feeder systems in a VG/PG = 50/50 ratio.

It is important to note that the presence of water in mixtures not only aids product solubility but also significantly improves the quality of the emitted vapor.

Due to its natural character, at higher concentrations, the finished mixture is more prone to residue buildup, so while a more intense flavor can be achieved, the residue formed on the coils increases proportionally and may require more frequent cleaning or replacement – all depending on the system used and the method of use.

Further information:
The product may contain a trace amount of nicotine, which, however, is negligible in the calculation of the final mixture’s nicotine content.

All of these are merely guidelines – the best and most personal way to use Aroma di Tabacco® extracts is determined by the user’s habits and creativity.

Aroma di Tabacco® extracts are analyzed using a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry system (GCMS) in the Blendfeel Laboratory to exclude the presence of herbicides and pesticides.

Hello everyone! I would like to ask those who have recently ordered from Floravita, what expiration date is indicated on the label of the glycerol and propylene glycol bottles?

Hope it shows.
I ordered on May 31st, the PG is already the improved version. (first it was distilled water)
