As a beginner, I’m asking my question because I haven’t really mixed liquids yet. I have a Coolfire Z80 device with a Zenith II tank, 0.8 ohm. I bought this device for my mom, as she used to smoke a lot (her daily amount was 6-8 cigarettes). So, I’d like to mix or buy a cool tobacco-flavored liquid with a nicotine content of roughly 4-5 mg/ml for her. My questions are: if I buy, say, a 50/50 base liquid and want to make 200ml of finished flavored liquid from it, how much flavor concentrate is needed to prepare a 200ml batch? Also, as I’ve seen, most places sell 10ml nicotine boosters (on foreign webshops), and for a 200ml liquid with, let’s say, 4mg nicotine content, I would need 5x10ml of 20mg/ml nicotine booster. My question is: if I were to buy a ready-made flavored liquid after all and don’t mix at home, won’t that half a deciliter (50ml) of nic booster take away from the flavor? Meaning, does it dilute the liquid too much?
There was a time when my mom bought vanilla-flavored, nicotinated liquid from the tobacco shop (while it was still available), which was so intensely flavored that it constantly burned out the coil in her previous e-cigarette, which had a Dwarv MTL tank.
So, primarily, I want to mix it myself, but I’m interested in the mixing ratios: how much flavor concentrate should be added to a given amount of base liquid if nicotine is also added? What’s very important is that it shouldn’t be so intensely flavored that it burns the coil. What can you recommend? These mixing calculators I find online are a bit difficult for me to interpret.
Hi. When mixing, you can safely consider the nicotine as plain base liquid, of course, don’t top it off directly with the aroma. Every aroma has a recommended mixing % determined by the manufacturer. Of course, this isn’t gospel, as everyone has different preferences. If you have a specific aroma, feel free to send it over, and someone will surely help with a suggestion.
I can’t recommend any flavors, for a calculator I use the “DIY E-Liquid Calculator”, I think it’s the clearest. You enter how much you want, what PG/VG ratio, what nicotine strength, how much flavor, and it tells you how much of each to pour.
Hi! I haven’t found a specific flavor yet because I’m still discussing with my mom what she might want, but she has a fruity one now, so she’d rather want tobacco or USA Mix or a similar tobacco flavor. I’m looking at the aromes-et-liquides website and the Lepetitvapoteur website, because these were recommended to me for ordering. I don’t see any flavors on either of them, only ready-made, flavored liquids. Where should I get flavors from? I’ve already found nicotine salts and base liquid on these sites. I haven’t even decided if I should mix it for her, or buy ready-made and add nicotine salt to it. Basically, she has been using the 100 ml Drifter Bar Juice MAD BLUE flavored 50/50 liquid for 4 months now and still has 50 ml left. So she uses the e-cigarette for occasional use only. That’s why I don’t see the point in getting half a liter or more of base liquid, but maybe I’ll buy two 200 ml pre-mixed liquids and add nicotine salt to them. Speaking of nicotine salt, if I understand correctly, for example, if I want a 200 ml liquid to have a nicotine content of 3mg/ml, I need to mix 3x10 ml of the 20mg/ml booster into it?
