Discourse!

Hello everyone,

An interesting discussion arose in my topic yesterday, but I didn’t feel it was appropriate for this exchange of views to happen in a topic where the original goal was different. However, there were many of us with different views, so everyone’s story interests me.

However, to keep this healthy, I would like to lay down a few ground rules:

  1. The topic is subjective, so let’s avoid objective opinions if possible.
  2. I accept your habits, and in turn, you should accept others’.
  3. Mutual respect; during the conversation, we honor everyone by letting them express their point of view.

Since 2016, I have tried several different devices. I have never stuck to one brand; my repertoire included the Teslacigs Poker 218, Geekvape Aegis L200, and currently, I use a Lost Vape Centaurus BT200 mod.

Regarding tanks, I gave up on pre-built coil tanks a long time ago. Rebuilding is more environmentally conscious for me; it doesn’t generate that much waste. For a while now, I’ve been heavily using my SteamCrave Aromarizer Supreme V3 tank, specifically the mesh deck, and I prefer the manufacturer’s own Dual A1 mesh sheet the most! Generally, I use it between 50-55 W in the device, leaving 3-6 air holes open. This is more of an RDL (Restricted Direct Lung) usage; I like it when the flavor is more concentrated and the tank has some resistance.

My favorites are dessert flavors; I really like those lemon cakes that dry out the throat. Previously, I worked with a 70/30 VG/PG ratio, but lately, I favor the 50/50 VG/PG ratio more; I like the throat hit. I used to vape at 3 mg/ml strength, but now I have switched to 5 mg/ml strong nicotine salt.

I am constantly tasting and looking for new possibilities, and currently, I am developing my MTL experiences; I have shortcomings here:grinning_face:

Months ago, I acquired a YachtVape Pandora V2 tank, whose peculiarity is that the internal AFC (Air Flow Control) is adjustable from the outside using a small dial. I tried different flavors, wires, and cotton in it, but in every case, I had a small “meh” feeling during use. My experience with it changed on a Hastur device, but I only borrowed that one, so now I am hunting for a new device for it!

What style of vaping do you use, and what made you feel like you had finally arrived? :face_with_monocle:

Hi!! I started with MTL three years ago. I tried a few mods. On the recommendation of two gentlemen, I bought my first Dicodes Dani, and since then I have 6; I guess that shows I’ve arrived in the modding scene! For RTAs, the Coccon and the Dvarw are my favorites, but I will always try new RTAs for myself, I don’t think I will ever arrive there!!

Could you please tell me about the technical aspects as well? How tight or loose is the MTL draw? Which wick and which wire do you use? And what are its strengths or weaknesses?

I use the Dvarw with 1-1.2 AFC, and the Coccont with 2x 0.7 ohms corresponds to about a 1 AFC setting! I like the tight MTL! I use 29-30 ga Ni80 wire with Cotton Clouds, Muji, Tfc cotton!! For me, both are very flavorful atomizers!! Perhaps the only weakness of the Coccont is the 3ml tank, which is a bit small, but I love it!! For me, it has no other weaknesses! I use it for tobacco flavors!

When you say tobacco flavor, do you mean tobacco-based aromas, or do you prefer tasting tobacco leaf extracts? If you had to choose, which one would you readily recommend to beginners, and which one do you yourself taste very rarely?:face_with_monocle:

More like extracts now!! The ones I like: Blendfeel, Tabachificio 3,0, La Tabaccheria,!!

Based on my current information (unfortunately not my experience), these are very high-quality aromas. If it weren’t for this “meh” feeling with my Pandora, I would have jumped on any of them. I have only tasted the Latakia aroma in it so far, it wasn’t bad, but while using the Hastur I felt that: “This is reeeally it”! Unfortunately, I am too stingy to acquire such a great set. My simple life thought is that cheap isn’t bad if one can live with the compromises.

Hi.:slightly_smiling_face:

I started vaping almost 5 years ago. I mostly stuck to the DL line, but recently I’ve started getting interested in the MTL line as well. I’ve become a mixed user, I enjoy both. Or more precisely, it’s the RDL line that has really caught my attention. I move along a thin borderline, and I look for this in the tanks I find interesting.

I already have several rebuildables, but the ones I currently enjoy using are the Cthulhu Valor and the Dvarw DL.

I use the Cthulhu Valor with a 2.5 airflow insert, which is a loose MTL or restricted DL.

And the Dvarw DL with a 3.0 airflow insert, which is also restricted DL.

So, it’s pretty clear that this is where I find the experience best suited for me.

I put 26 GA Kanthal wire into these atomizers, wrap it on a 2.5mm core, and for simplicity, I wick BP Mods cotton, but Vapefly Cotton Clouds has also proven good.

I mostly fill them with dessert tobacco liquids, and I like trying new ones within this flavor range. I already know what I don’t like.

60 VG / 40 PG ratio, my own mix, now only with 2 mg nicotine.

The wattage is stuck between 18-20.

As for my builds, they are also in an experimental phase, but the above really works for me.

I like simple things and I am of the opinion that you don’t necessarily have to spend astronomical amounts to have a good vape experience, you just have to find what you love.

I don’t have a large accumulated stock either, but I am satisfied with what I have.

Despite this, I follow with interest what and how others do/use, or I am happy about their acquisitions and novelties.

I learn-read-experience. :slightly_smiling_face:

Anyone who knows me, at least from here, knows about me that I will give everything I possibly can, whether it’s a little or a lot.

I thought for a long time that cheap could also be good… It was good until I tried the more expensive products. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Of course, you can still run into trouble there, but most of them cost a lot because they deliver a lot too.

Nothing else is an option for me. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I also ordered the second to last one

It’s quite interesting that if I were using a coil build, I would have stopped here too; I didn’t even go above 30W DL even with a dual Build. But for some time now, I switched to a mesh coil for proper flavor extraction! One thing is certain: although I moved up in Watts, interestingly, I rarely change the airflow. Perhaps only when I don’t have time for vaping and just need a quick puff for the rapid intake of the right amount of nicotine :joy: but speaking of dessert flavors: sweet, bitter, citrus, or creamy?

Do we really need to build up a larger stock? Isn’t one set more than enough? :face_with_monocle:

RDA :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: is a category that I also want to try after using MTL! Don’t get me wrong, I know what a DNA is capable of, but I’m still looking into what solutions smaller manufacturers use. Maybe when I get tired of it, or finally get a bigger push, I will switch too, but I’m dragging my feet a bit before that .

Look… one thing is certain, it’s not enough!
The minimum is two, just for safety’s sake.
But those two must be reliable enough that I can use them safely anytime, anywhere, and they satisfy the desire for which I use them.

My favorite was the vanilla biscuit tobacco from T-Juice. Unfortunately, since it’s gone, I can’t find a nice dessert tobacco for RDL.

Yet quite a few of us use dessert “tobacco”—I write it this way because I get reprimanded for the word tobacco .

And yes, I have several too. But these all work best alongside the Aromamizer. That’s why I am planning the switch.
