Dampflion - White King

Dampflion - White King
Origin: Germany
Mixing ratio: 8-10%
Flavor: Mandarin, prickly pear, white grape with cooling

My next liquid test might sound familiar to many, as it’s a long-standing crowd favorite flavor. I might not be able to tell old hands anything new, but it could be a very good choice for beginners or those getting acquainted with fruity liquids. Let’s see what’s in the box!

It comes in a 120ml chubby flask with 10ml of aroma concentrate, which we mix to our taste. We can aim for between 100-120ml, thus achieving the 8-10% ratio. I personally vape it at 10%, as it benefits from it, so I mix 100ml with a 60-40 VG ratio.

And now for the flavor: very fresh, very summery. The white grape is very prominent when mixed fresh, with the mandarin sitting nicely on top of it in the background. In my opinion, the cactus is just that minimal necessary extra that makes the king a king. The magic in it is the cooling; it’s not a Drifter, nor is it something half-Koolada’d – the quantity is precisely well-balanced so that it’s very delicious even when fresh. Because there’s a trick here too. When fresh, it’s completely different, cooler, more grape-forward. If we wait, the flavors meld even better, it becomes deeper, the mandarin starts to dominate, a minimal alcoholic note also emerges, and the cooling subsides. In my opinion, it’s not worth waiting for; it’s better fresh, but this is just my personal opinion.

For 5 years, it’s been my favorite fruity liquid, however, one must pay attention to the price at certain shops. From Germany and Austria, though, it can be purchased at a quite friendly price (€12-15). It’s not a cheap indulgence, but it can be worth every penny for those who grow to love it. It’s not without reason that he is the White King on the chessboard.
