I am very new here and to the whole world of e-cigarettes. I’ve tried a friend’s e-cigarette, but it was very sweet for me. I would like to find a flavor that resembles the taste of regular cigarettes. I used to smoke about 15 cigarettes a day, maybe sometimes more, but under 20. I liked ‘blue’ (light) cigarettes so far.
What kind of e-liquid would you recommend? I’m not afraid of DIY mixing either.
To be honest, I bought a pod at a tobacco shop: an Eleaf Iveni Duo, which came with a 1.2 ohm and a 0.8 ohm pod. I bought a 0.6 ohm as a spare. By the way, the lady at the shop recommended a ‘Mellow Dew’ hookah flavor stone liquid; I picked up an ‘USA Mix’ in a 30ml bottle, plus a 10ml ‘Selfie’ nicotine base. I mixed 20ml of the USA Mix with 10ml of nicotine. Well, it was terrible. It was so sweet that it actually made me feel sick.
What can you advise regarding which ohm pod and which e-liquid I should start with?

Hi! Unfortunately, there is no way to completely eliminate the sweet taste. Even with a higher PG ratio, some of it will remain (due to the carriers, this is not smoke). Otherwise, take a look at Azhad’s or Blendfeel extracted tobacco flavors, for example.
Well, the filtered versions are good of course, I only have experience with the regular ones. But there is no such thing as the most cigarette-like flavor and hit while also having a 120-day coil life
MTL-style vaping is the closest experience to smoking cigarettes, and since the issue of resistance is a matter of personal preference, for me, it starts from 0.8 Ohm and goes up… e.g., 1.0 Ohm.
Extracted tobacco flavors don’t exactly replicate the taste of tobacco, but they are what they are; however, they wear out coils very quickly.
If you use factory coils, filtered tobacco liquids might be the solution for you:

Vaping is not smoking, and it will never replicate the taste of a cigarette. There are some bitter tobacco-flavored longfills that aren’t as sweet. People here will recommend good ones, but finding the right flavor will cost you a few tens of thousands of forints. The main thing to remember is that if you use extract-based liquids (which are the closest to authentic tobacco), they will destroy your coil (porlasztó) in a few days. Let’s add that some have managed to reproduce this partially quite well, but it can never be the same in the absence of combustion, smoke, and burnt paper but there are quite a few “ashtray-like” pleasant “imitations”; of course, these extracts are also more expensive than the synthetic “somethings”.
As the others said, nothing is going to replicate the taste of a cigarette. For me, simple menthol e-liquids worked best; I found them to be the most “neutral”.
