1. This is a civilized community
Website: The content available under the vaperina.cc domain is exclusively for persons who have reached the age of 18 and are of legal age in the jurisdiction from which they access the website — who wish to switch from traditional cigarettes to electronic cigarettes or have already done so. The use of electronic cigarettes may cause nicotine addiction!
Please treat this Website as if you were talking to a good friend in a public place. We do the same — this is a place where we can share our knowledge, our experiences, and interesting information from the vaping world.
These rules serve to help our community be seen in a positive light and to maintain a clean and well-lit place for civilized public conversation.
2. Improve the conversation
Help us create a great place for conversation by continuously improving communication, however small the contribution. If you are not sure whether your post contributes to the conversation, think about what you want to say and try again later.
The topics discussed here matter to us and we want you to act as if they matter to you too. Treat topics and the people discussing them with respect, even if you disagree.
One way to improve the conversation is to discover discussions already happening. Spend a little time browsing topics before replying or starting a new one. This greatly increases the chance of meeting others who share your views.
3. Be understanding and kind even when you disagree
You can respond to something even if you disagree with it. That’s fine!
But don’t make it personal, such as:
- Insulting others
- Responding to the tone of a post rather than its content
- Using profanity
Instead, provide reasoned counterarguments that improve the conversation.
4. If you see a problem, Report it!
When you see something inappropriate, don’t respond to it to draw attention to it. This encourages bad behavior that drains everyone’s time and energy. Instead, Report it. When a report is received from community members, a Moderator will step in and review the problematic content.
To maintain the community, Moderators reserve the right to remove any offensive content or user accounts. Moderators and the operator accept no responsibility for published content.
5. Guidelines
Nothing sabotages healthy conversation quite like rudeness:
- Be intelligent and considerate. Don’t share anything on the Website that may be hurtful or offensive to others.
- Do not post content related to racism or any racial or gender-based discrimination!
- Do not post content related to sexuality or any form of obscenity.
- Do not post content related to politics or any religion!
- The protection of children is of paramount importance, and publishing content related to the use of electronic cigarettes may make the product appealing to minors. To protect children, do not post any content related to minors using electronic cigarettes or any similar context.
- Respect others! Do not harass or hurt anyone, do not share personal data, do not attack, insult, or annoy others.
- Do not post private, personal conversations with other users without the other party’s consent!
- Let others have their say: There’s no such thing as knowing everything better than everyone and always being right!
- Don’t undermine morale!
- Respect Vaperina. Don’t SPAM!
These rules also apply to external links shared on Vaperina! Therefore, please do not share content from external websites that violates any of these rules.
If you violate any of the above points, we may delete your offending posts without warning. We may subject your further public posts to moderator approval, and in addition silence or suspend you for a minimum of 3 days. Furthermore, to sanction rule-breaking behavior, we may temporarily or permanently restrict user functions (e.g. removal of the ability to react).
If these violations continue, we may anonymize your account!
Silence: You will not be able to post or interact with any user on the site.
Suspension: You will not be able to log into your account until the suspension period expires.
Anonymization: Your user account will be revoked. Your personal data will be deleted and the content you have written will be transferred to an anonymous user account.
6. Vaperina Ban List
Those who have been banned in the past on any Vaperina platform (Vaperina.com, Vaperina 18+ Facebook group) remain banned here as well. In addition, users who have engaged in illegal activities on any platform or website outside of Vaperina, including (fraud, trading in illegal products, online harassment, etc.) — if we become aware of it — will have their account suspended and be banned from the site.
7. For Advertisers
It is the Advertiser’s responsibility to ensure that their advertisement is not appealing to those under 18 and does not target them in any way!
The advertisement text may not contain an email address, messenger, Facebook contact, etc.
The exception to this is a phone number, however we encourage you to share this privately.
Furthermore, the advertisement may not contain information related to payment (bank transfer, other online payment methods) or shipping. The advertisement may only include the option of personal pickup. An exception to this is an advertisement posted in the #off-topic:marketplace category.
A product may only appear in one advertisement! Duplicate listings will be deleted.
The Advertiser may of course modify their listing but only within certain limits.
These modifications may cover minor things such as:
- Correcting inaccuracies
- Adding missing details
- Adding extra photos or media of the listed product
- Updating the listing
- Price modification
- Removing a sold item when multiple products are listed in one ad
If the advertisement changes more than this, we will delete it. If this happens repeatedly, we may suspend the User for a minimum of 3 days or permanently — or anonymize/delete their account — especially if they have previously violated any point of our Guidelines.
If you post an advertisement, take care of it — update it regularly, respond to interested parties, and if it has been sold, let us know by clicking the relevant button on your listing page!
We know there are those who see the Community purely as a financial opportunity and only want to advertise. But the Community is not about that!
We will reset users to Trust Level 0 and (lock the trust level until we see they are actively present in the Community) and delete their listings if they: Post a listing and then never return to the site or are not present (in many cases not even responding to inquiries).
Users who engage in actual trading, or attempt to resell a product purchased at a favorable price at an unrealistic markup here or elsewhere, will be removed from the site.
8. Keep it clean
Try to choose the appropriate category for your post! This helps others and moderators alike. So:
- Do not start a topic in the wrong category.
- Do not bring up the same topic under multiple posts!
- Do not reply without relevant content!
- Do not ruin your post by, for example, changing the subject!
- Do not sign your posts or replies — your profile already contains this information!
Instead of responding to someone’s post with something like “Yes”, “I agree”, “You’re right”, use the Like 
or any other reaction button!
Deliberately destructive use of reactions is prohibited!
What does this mean? A user clearly uses a reaction (for example a “laughing” or other negative reaction) with the intent to damage the community atmosphere, hurt someone, or undermine the seriousness of a topic.
Vaperina’s interaction tools (including the Like button and other reactions) may only be used in a manner appropriate to the content and their intended purpose. It is prohibited to use these tools in a repeated, unjustified, or provocative manner (e.g. repeatedly placing inappropriate, provocative, or irrelevant reactions), which constitutes morale-undermining behavior as mentioned in 5. Guidelines.
