Huh? Huh? You mean the pin inside the deck? That’s into the inner thread of the positive-designed post and into the body’s thread. The inner half of the clamp is L-shaped, the hole is separated from the threading. The screw and coil don’t touch each other. Kind of like a vise.

No, no the side screws. The deck is full of fused-staggered-alien-

Roughly like a vice. There’s still space under the jaws where there’s more material. Only the inner side is threaded. The upper profile of the moving jaw is a higher L-shape. This way the mesh doesn’t touch the screw.

So, this picture shows it better. The decks differ in whether the material has shoulders on both sides or not. The principle of fastening is the same. The shoulders, those darn shoulders, determine how wide the mesh strip can be.
