I didn’t find any traces of gunpowder, but I cleaned it a bit with isopropyl alcohol. It seems that only the 6-legged one overheated, but we’ll see.

While I am waiting for the parts, I polished the Stubby housing. There are still a few spots that are trickier, but the bulk of it is done. It will get a polish in the end. I deliberately didn’t polish the inside so that the identification number, etc., remains. This is how it looks now.

I don’t want to be pedantic, but often a visible fault in one component can be the result of a less obvious or invisible failure in one or more other components. It might be enough to replace it, but it wouldn’t hurt to measure the board in several places (e.g., for short circuits) before powering it on.
