I’ve given up on TC, it’s a bit of a gentleman’s hobby for me, it doesn’t bring out the flavors as well. I don’t think I’ll need to fiddle with it anymore, two ZQ Essent are coming to replace it, for carrying around.

My main problem is that I wanted two portable devices that can be put aside, because with a Provari + Taifun GT, I feel it’s a bourgeois luxury to go to the playground with the kid to go down the slide. Then comes the idea that alongside my 3 high-end mods, there should be a fourth… And the problem is that this usually leads to me sitting down with a rum in the evening, and at an unguarded moment, oops, checkout, and the phone pings that the amount has been debited… I did this recently on the Ennequadro website, even though I only wanted a clone Moka…

Quick question, for ultrasonic cleaning, do you typically remove the rubber seals/O-rings, or do you leave them on?

I would also leave it on if I didn’t use flavorings. There are some that quite soak into the seals. (a&l oni,red astaire).

I never took it off, it’s fine… and it stays clean too. It also slows down the yellowing of transparent parts. I don’t think it’s a problem if you leave it on.
(Anyway, I wouldn’t torture myself with it, every removal damages more in my opinion, stretching-torture).

Don’t stone me yet, but I do soak it in X hypo water occasionally, then rinse it off as a final wash, and then dry it. It removes discoloration, smell. And since I rinse it afterwards, no trace remains I’d also like to reassure those who are completely hesitant, that nothing harmful remains when applied this way.
