Same here, at the moment, this is what’s happening with us too, dad is just entering that phase where it’s even harder… who can afford a nursing home or a caregiver nowadays? (My mother-in-law is even worse, but stubborn, at 84 years old, with an operated spine. So it’s double trouble for both of us now). Few people can manage this. 
I can’t see ahead, how it will turn out….

This is a bit morbid, but they were right 
I have an acquaintance who works in such a place; it’s surely a beautiful profession for those who love it. They told a few stories about how cute they are and everything, and there’s another place too which isn’t nice, but….. I wouldn’t do it.
