For ten years, I’ve also been going to 3D archery competitions. In a forest environment, the targets are life-size solid polyfoam animals. I had a 70-pound compound bow reduced to 65. Thanks to concentric cams, overcoming the draw stop provides 80-85% let-off, so during aiming, only 10-15# needs to be held.
At 40-45 meters, it rivals the accuracy of a rifle.
