IMHO, no better than other types. At least for me. It needs careful assembly, coiling, etc. ![]()
A friend of mine was struggling with vaping, so that’s why the question came to my mind, but maybe he was just bad at it ![]()
The top airflow is therefore less prone to leaking, but this doesn’t mean that all bottom ones leak…
I still maintain that it is the best value for money two-battery mod on the market.

The Gaur 21 is recommended for massive DL users for 50+ watts.
It has the mass of half a brick, it’s not pocket-friendly, but you get what you pay for.
This is true for all dual 21700 mods anyway.
For tanks, you can achieve maximum leak resistance with leak-controlled tanks
…then comes top airflow, then bottom airflow, and at the end of the line are most RDAs, from this perspective.
Except for the latter, if the wicking is adequate and the O-rings seal well, leakage is impossible. However, good wicking varies from tank to tank. There are beginner-friendly ones that can be wicked with your eyes closed… (e.g., B80 and other RBAs), but there are some that are notoriously difficult to get working ![]()
However, most RTAs are relatively easy to figure out.
In short, that’s it.
If you have a tank in mind, ask about it here… there are experienced users for almost all of them in the group.
Good tip! ![]()
I would add an RTA suggestion from the site.
Vaperina also has a review of it, and we have a satisfied user among us in the person of @Tivadar_Szocs. ![]()
It’s a perfectly reliable DL tank for me.![]()
It would be a nice combo… I think if the colleague asking for advice listens to us, they will have a really awesome and great value set. ![]()
I think this tank would be overkill for me, I don’t necessarily want to vape in hardcore DL style, so 1 airflow would be enough, but I checked the brand and I’ve picked out another tank for myself called the Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RTA, supposedly this is also very reliable and the build seems easy too. Does anyone have experience with this? I looked at the recommended mods on Vaperinan and the Geekvape Aegis Solo 3 seems good and it’s on sale for $20 which seems pretty cool. Are there any known issues with the Solo 3?
that’s my goal ![]()
So, finally, I would like to decide between the * Geekvape Zeus ZX and the Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RTA. Which do you recommend? I would use it for RDL, and later maybe for “light” DL.
I also have a question: is it worth buying a tank and mod from the same brand? Or is there really no point?
In my opinion, the V3 wasn’t really designed for “weak” DL.
Another question about the Geekvape Aegis Solo 3 mod, is it worth buying with a built-in battery or (just) with an external battery?
Both RTAs are plenty DL, IMHO. As for the mod, I think it should have
The first advice I usually give anyone, if they are not looking for a pod, is to buy anything as long as the battery is replaceable… 3000mAh is not even an all-day story for RDL. Then it can go on the charger for 1.5 hours… The operating time of the built-in battery will only decrease from month to month and sooner or later the whole device will have to be replaced… In the case of a replaceable battery, just another battery and everything can continue for about 1500 Ft.
Out of the two, perhaps the Zeus can be better used for RDL, but a lot depends on what kind of coil you put in it.
then I have my chosen mod
thanks :3
If I choose the Zeus, what kind of coil do you recommend using for it, for RDL? (I only want to buy prebuilt ones)
Also, what kind of cotton is worth using for it?
If I were buying, I would get these:

Cotton, in my opinion, BP mods or Cotton Clouds
I don’t think so either, but you can always learn from mistakes. ![]()
Powering two coils with an 18650 battery…
