How do you roll, how do you wick? 😊

Hi everyone,

I’d like to ask for some advice regarding coil building.

Although I’ve been vaping for quite a while, my first rebuildable atomizer just arrived. I chose the Hellvape Fat Rabbit Solo 2. I’ve been trying it out for a few days. Building the coil wasn’t too difficult for me, I had a bit of trouble with wicking, but after about 5-6 tries, I figured out what works.

The flavors are amazing in it; I’ve never experienced e-liquids tasting this good from an atomizer before. I’m also pretty satisfied with the vapor production.

However, it gets very hot. So hot that my throat has started to hurt.

So, the parameters: 5 wraps of 24 gauge Kanthal A1 wire, with a 60VG/40PG e-liquid, with plenty of airflow. I’ve been experimenting between 25-35W. The reason for Kanthal is that I suspect I have a nickel allergy, so I haven’t dared to use anything else. Could the wire be too thick?

If anyone has the same or a similar atomizer, could you please share what your optimal settings are? How do you use yours?

With this same wire and coil, on a 3mm inner diameter, I get around 0.7 ohms. The wattage is also between 28-33. It doesn’t get hot, though I have a dvarw.

Okay, thanks, I’ll try it this way too.:+1:

Yes, I forgot to mention that I built it on a 3-core coil, and it came out to 0.46 ohm. I was just watching a video where they said you don’t necessarily have to stick to these very low sub-ohm values

But the good news is that I managed to lower the nicotine amount from 3mg to 2mg. I didn’t even feel it.:slightly_smiling_face:

Hi.
It would be good if you provided an Ohm value, it would be easier

Hi, 0.46 ohm, on a 3 core.

Try it like this
. With lower wattage, maybe it won’t heat up as much.

Okay, I’ll try that too. Thanks.:slightly_smiling_face:

Here’s the best way to do it

Thank you.
Until now, I was used to using around 35-40 W, but this boiler works differently, perhaps the right approach will be to go lower with it.

Hi everyone!

I’m trying the stubby aio 21700, thanks to @tibor_balogh, with a pulse aio atomizer. It gives completely good, fine flavors. BP mods boxed cotton. Vandy vape Ni80 Superfine MTL Fused Clapton Wire 30ga*2(=)+38ga (3.5 ohm /ft) wire 2.5 inner diameter 5 wraps.

Please excuse my wicking, it turned out a bit ugly. :slightly_smiling_face: It will be prettier when I wick the 100th one. I’m currently vaping Kyandi Cola, the flavor is really nice. About half a tank has been used.

Nice Steam  the little Pulse atomizer is an old piece now.. but it can still

The bottom airflow should be fully open, the top to taste. The bottom cools the coil, the top just adds extra air.

Ah, ok. I did it exactly backwards. (And all over the place.) Thanks.:+1:

A similar config on another type of tank (RDTA-Geekvape Avocado) at approx. 18 watts produces steam properly, no heating, nothing.

Oh, I really overdid the watts.

Reinterpretation is coming. Thank you too.

I found a few more meters of good quality SS 316L 28 GA wire.
I thought I’d use it up little by little in my Dvarw.

And what’s going into the tank is the A&L Oni I mixed yesterday.
I don’t really let this e-liquid steep, because in my opinion, it’s already vapeable one day after mixing.:slightly_smiling_face:

My experience with Oni is that it needs at least 2 weeks until it’s good, but then it’s best by the time it runs out 6-8 weeks later! I didn’t really get much out of it when freshly made and tried. I flavored it at 6.5% with a 50/50 base. Maybe next time I’ll try it at 8%.

I mixed 15%
 the zero
 It’s steeping in the cupboard
It’s very rare for me that a mix doesn’t get at least 2 months [of steeping].
