Anyway, I only change it sometimes… because I think it’s due and available… but I’ve never noticed any abnormal change, neither in appearance nor in taste.

I saw it at Thomas’s, but you’re right, currently its stock of full Kanthal alien coils has run out. But you can sign up for a stock notification :slightly_smiling_face: And there is now in stock one whose inner wire is Kanthal, but the outer thin one is unfortunately SS316L, I guess that won’t work if you are very allergic to Ni.

Hi everyone,

My first AIO device is arriving soon, a Blaze Boro AIO.
I want to use it for RDL, aiming for a resistance range of about 0.4-0.6 Ohm.

What coils do you recommend for this use? Will it work with a 2.5mm inner diameter, or would it need 3.0mm?
How much should I try more complex wires (e.g., alien clapton)?

(So far I’ve only had RTAs, which I use with 2.5mm ID MTL Fused Clapton using 38ga / 2x 30ga or 28ga strand wire, but I guess it will need a “bigger” build)
