How do you roll, how do you wick? 😊

I don’t think this would cause any problems if it’s stable and works. The electronics of every modern mod are designed exactly like this: to set the voltage value for all sorts of resistances, at which such a current is generated that you get exactly the entered, expected X Watts. With more extreme thick wires, issues like sluggishness, ramp-up time problems, etc., might come into play.

Hi everyone!
I have a Vapefly Brunhilde MTL RTA tank, I use it with a Vandy Vape pre-built coil and BP Mods Pro cotton, but I’m a bit tired of having to re-wick it every day because the cotton gets burnt in about 2 hours. Can you maybe help me figure out what the problem might be? Could it be that the cotton or the coil is not suitable?

Hi.
The problem might be with your cotton or your mix, there is no or insufficient supply of your liquid.
A photo would help us to understand what the ratio of your mix is, etc.

My cotton is always fully saturated with liquid, or at least that’s how I think it should be.

This wicking, for example, is from yesterday, and it gets burned this much every day.

It could also be running at too high wattage. What settings are you using?

I am vaping a 0.68 ohm coil at 20

Flavor? What ratio? Is your mix a smoky tobacco profile? Natural tobacco usually has this character, or the sweet concentrate.
Eva is right about the power not being unimportant, I left that out of the formula
That’s generous of you, I see now.

I almost always use Steam Train longfills, mixed with a 50/50

Since I’m already discovering residues of brown soup on the terminal posts, the liquid is suspicious to me. Personal tip: for such gunk-producing liquids, I use Cotton Bacon Prime. It’s dense cotton, needs to be fluffed, and will likely not last two weeks either, but it will last longer than on BP mods. For me, Blendfeel - Dharma lasted a week, even though it’s dark brown when freshly mixed.

And if I only used plain flavor concentrate and base liquid and not these longfills, would the cotton and coil last longer?

A longfill also contains flavor, so that doesn’t matter.
Unfortunately, some flavors are more prone to gunking up coils.
Try another one to see if the cotton only lasts this long with it too.

Thank you very much.
